You're definitely right, you can't use perfect offense to beat perfect defense, but you can use unconventional offense to disrupt that defense to create unique opportunities, so with the McGregor fight he had to figure McGregor's weird angles before he could start coming at him, and he did, the reason he could do that was that McGregor did not have the boxing skill to "KO" him, he's punches to Floyd were like pillows, McGregor didn't know how to sit down on those weird punches/angles like an elite Pro puncher Pacqiuo etc So Floyd had the time to figure him out, wear him out and KO him. Where is now i think an elite boxer could knock him out within that time frame. Almost no boxer has won all first 4 rounds consecutive against Floyd as he usually figures them out round 1.

I don’t understand how Floyd is able to pull counter so well off someone’s jab. He does the same conventional moves to everyone with unbelievable success and accuracy. HE MODIFIED THE SHOULDER ROLL DEFENSE TO MAKE IT COMPLETE. instead of sliding under he bends at the waist and cums straight up, steps back ,smothers, ties up, or pivots out turning his opponents while taking the space they vacated. the shells flaw is that its susceptible to right hooks and over hands so if he slides under he might get caught coming back up. so instead he bends his waist and doesn't come back up until his out of danger
