I watched this fight and many of others by Many and Floyd. Manny won this one and was the clear winner. Sorry Floyd. You were beat and his was not the 1st time this happened. Same thing happened with Roberto Duran and his fight with Hector ( Macho ) Camacho Roberto was Robbed

For those who don't remember Manny tore his rotator cuff 2 weeks before the fight. Mayweather has bad hands. They both submit their paperwork for the doctor to give them the shot. Mayweather's was approved and Pacquiao's was not approved. When Pacquiao's camp told Mayweather to reschedule the fight he said he would not give him the fight if they had to reschedule. By the 4th round Pacquiao told his corner that he was in a lot of pain and it was hard to keep his arm up Freddie told him they would lose a lot of money if they threw in the towel so he kept fighting the best he could. Now Mayweather did win the fight, but before the fight Mayweather said if Manny was to lose he would give him the rematch and never did. When the reports came out that Manny was hurt and didn't tell the boxing committee he was in trouble. Did y'all forget Manny was about to be sued, but Mayweather help Manny out by making it go away, because he did promise the rematch and everything was brushed under the rug
People criticizing Floyd’s strategy like Floyd hasn’t been a defensive boxer his entire career. He was never a power puncher or the aggressor. He won the majority of his fights like a marathon. He played defense and took the fight the distance. It isn’t pretty and it isn’t visually pleasing but it’s effective and it got Floyd 50 wins and 0 losses. And you gotta respect that.
Yes and thats why boxing is the way it is rn , so many young boxers wanna be floyd and just waste fans time with boring fights. One big example is shakur. Before his hands went soft, Floyde did have some power; afterwords he was pretty much like a mini Jimmy Young; the heavyweight during Ali's reign who just poked & ran away over & over every round. I've watched this fight live & a few times over the years expecting to see something different, but I didn't. I saw Manny corner Floyde & Instead of finishing him as was his Usual; he let him out. Pac was the aggressor the whole fight. Floyde never had Pac in trouble like Pac had him. If boxing was just about touching like tag your it, it wouldn't be boxing no more than flag football is tackle football.

I actually made a couple thousand off this fight. We run a little sports pot at my job where we bet on different sports. Well the employees who come to actually watch the fight can change their bets mid way. Rather that be halftime, 6th round or for the MLB we use halfway thru the 4th inning. Well so many guys changed their bets to Manny after the sixth round. Well I didn't because I didn't attend I just placed my bet beforehand. I took home that night $2700

If you really know boxing this is what this fight was….. Manny was really chasing the fight but Floyd was only trying to win the fight and nothing more. Manny was throwing a lot of punches and chasing Floyd to try and win the fight, Floyd was throwing accurate punches to win the fight. And it’s not running, it’s defense (if you know boxing), a good/better boxer would’ve known how to cut of the right and stop/find his opponent like we so often see Canelo do and Knox it out his opponents, but Manny was unable to do so cos Floyd is a defensive master. That’s the difference… It was really easy work for Floyd,l and yes it made the fight seem boring cos we all know he don’t take unnecessary risk like trying to brawl with Manny. He only wants the win. He (Floyd) is the smarter, more talented and better fighter. It was up to Manny to show the world he can out think/out smart him but by the look of that fight, it is unlikely even if they rematched or met earlier in their careers. Floyd did want to fight him earlier but Manny never wanted to be tested on a degree that ensured he was clean at all times.
