Still got my old Baxi back boiler installed in 1976. Still working. Just in the process of changing it to a modern boiler. Not a lot to go wrong with the old back boiler as long as it’s serviced. But heho, let’s get into the 21st century. Don’t even know why I watch your videos (as well explained as they are) as I’ve just retired. 😂😂 Keep up the good work for the next generation.
Same here,I retired 2 years ago. My elderly mum, still has a Baxi back boiler installed way back when I was a lad.(1971?) My brother manages her care now as she suffers from dementia.
Turned off a 1969 Baxi BBU last week AR, The customer had a conservatory built 6 year ago vent bricked over it passed f/f and spillage no signs of soothing actually in really god condition like new, Customer said other engineers have been and never issued a notice or mentioned ventilation nor did they go in the loft, I really wonder how these guys sleep at night.
I'm a bit confused there because surely what you've done is the same test twice , because you put the smoke in the same place, one with the alliance not running and one with it running? Shouldn't the flue flow go at the base just past the burner at the start of the primary flue?
