After watching your video last week, I tried "soap brows" instead of my usual routine. I love it! My eyebrows look so good and they actually stay nicely groomed all day. Thank you!!
I absolutely LOVE your fluffed up brow transformation! The results are amazing. I usually brush mine up, fill them in, then use clear brow gel on top. But I will definitely use your pointers!
Earthtear, soap is made by melting ingredients together & pouring them into a soap mold. what makes You think the same ingredients somehow become unmeltable once they are bar shaped??? blocks/chunks do melt slower than smaller pieces so grating the bar makes it melt faster. but still, soap does melt.
My natural hair color is ash blonde and I dye my hair a dark brunette. I use a mostly dried up mascara on my brows to give the illusion that they are naturally darker and thicker and it works wonders ! I've been using this method for a year and I love it
@@angel-md8ge Thank you ! I've been dying my hair for 10 years now and because I am so pale, ash blonde just washes me out in my opinion. Also, darker hair makes me look more mature. I wouldn't say that I have a baby face but some of my features, like my nose, are very child like haha
Elmers purple glue stick works even better. Drag queens take it to an extreme to cover brows, however, many makeup artist use it as a secret trick which works better than soap or browgel. Just take a spoolie and rub it through the glue stick. Works great, doesnt break you out and easy to remove
I think this product would work perfectly on a "male transformation" make up because of how the brows look naturally thick. By the way, I would love to see Tina trying to "become" a male using make up, it would be fun.
new subscriber and a bit older, but love, unlike other makeup artists, u were honest about price and not high end products as not everyone has major monies!
Personally I’m not a huge fan of the soap brow. Though it keeps the hair in place n gives me a fuller looking brow, u can see the soap residue on my brow in the sunlight. No matter the amount I use, u can see it. I’ve only tried this technique with the Pear soap. Tried applying gel brows on top of the soap brow but u can still see the residue. Guess I haven’t mastered this yet. No irritation on my sensitive skin
I use soap because it's so damn cheap, smells good and works great. It also works really well as a "brow primer" as such. Just pop it on under your brow pencil/pomade and it'll make them go on smoother and quicker. I use it for this because I've found that some pencils or pomades clump and cake up 😊
I highly recommend you try the benefit 24 hour brow setter! I have very thick, black eyebrow hairs that grow straight down and it is the only product that has been able to keep the hairs upwards how I like it. It isnt tinted, but it's amazing! I have never tried soap brows, I may need to!
such a cool video! I’d never heard ab the soap trick and I’ve never thought brushing up brows before filling them was necessary but I really like how doing it for the bushy brow style looks :)
I love this technique. I have blond hair and very sparse brows so any brow products usually make my brows look fake. I can't wait to get some of this soap to try this.
Omg, that would make me break out horribly!! Good on you for not having sensitive skin. I have to be so careful when doing my hair in the mornings because if I even get it on my neck or face I get a pimple. 😪
I don't find the brushed up brow to be natural looking at all. To me, it either looks fuzzy and in need of a trim or plastered down and flat. But if you like it, you do you lol
Jeni Schwartz I think she means they look like real hairs, not necessarily that the hairs would sit like that naturally. I guess it looks more natural than the very squared off and solid brows that are also quite popular right not.
I have use pears soap for 48 years & never knew there was a green 1. Maybe it's not made in the uk. I use it for my brows but I find in the summer when u sweat it melts gets tacky. How ever glad u done a comparison.
Hi Tina! I'm so glad you did this video. I have naturally thick brows but my tails always give me trouble. If I fuss with them too much or use the wrong shade of brow product it can get a little crazy. I have a few favorite brow pencils and they are mostly drugstore. Thanks for the comparisons. It helps before buying something. Besitos y God bless!
Ghanamagic bb I've been doing soapbrows for about a year now so I feel like I can confidently say I wouldn't recommend doing that. As you brush the spoolie through the brows, the pigment would probably congregate to the top of your brows and so end up looking patchy. I use a clear soap in combination with hairspray (instead of water), and once it's dry, then take brow powder through the more sparce areas. The soap will help the pigment adhere to the brows!
I mixed my Tarte brow powder into my Elf clear brow gel and love it for every day use. I get double use cause when I touch the spoolie to my skin, it also fills them in. It's my new daily hack cause I'm always running late😊 Hope this helped
Hi, does this product gives white residue or white particles on your brows after the application? I bought a local brand brow soap and it's so frustrating to see my brows with white particles 💔
Awesome!✌ ty! It can be compact... Shave a slice off😇 The soap brow was slightly shiny and it looked beautiful on you 👍. Thanks so much for this great video💕💕
Would hair wax work the same? I'm just wary that having detergent on your eyebrows all day could leave the skin underneath prone to infections and eczema.
I bet it would. I've been scrolling down the comments and there's someone who uses mustache wax. There are also some who use hair spray, mascara, and etc.
Hair wax/promade will do the trick but they do have a stronger scent. I was skeptical of using soap on my brows too but it actually works. The Pear soup is very gentle n did not cause any irritation to my sensitive cystic acne skin. Purchased the pear soap on Amazon. Doesn’t hurt to try. Give it a go so u can judge for urself. Good luck!
The brushed up brows look really good on your face shape 😊 Also, if you want to make the soap more compact, you could use a small tin and just cut the soap to size and have it more manageable and easier for on-the-go or to store in your makeup bag.
It’d be awesome if you could do a similar comparison of soap vs glue stick - I know a lot of MUAs use glue sticks for a similar effect by dipping a spoolie in the glue and brushing up (as opposed to completely covering & canceling brows like in drag makeup where they also use glue). Would love to see your take on that showdown! I’d try it myself, but my brows are just too sparse for this look so I’m stuck with standard filling techniques :(
Honestly, get some hair gel and an old.masacra wand and put the gel in the wand and you'll get a coloured gel that has a wand for your brows. I use it every day and it's amazing.
I decided to do something crazy and try eyelash glue on my eyebrows. BEST thing I've ever tried. You only need a tiny amount and best way is to take a small blob and rub it all over a clean spoolie. Lightly apply it to your eyebrows and the hairs will stay in place ALL DAY. I've never had an issue removing it (soap & water or micellar water) because there is really just the tiniest amount on your brows. I use the white eyelash glue by QUO and it dries clear and doesn't mess up my brow makeup.
The end result looks great on you! The eyebrows are big and full, but very soft looking. I really like natural looking brows, maybe because I can't achieve that, I have blond eyebrows with a scar in one of them :(
Using a clear drying glue stick like Elmer's disappearing purple glue stick works great and you don't have to worry about soap running in your eyes if you sweat or if your brows get wet. I use thick layers around Halloween to protect brows from being ripped out by liquid latex when I use it as part of a Halloween costume or to hid the brows when I need to draw them in for a costume.
to have a compact soap that you can take with you, you can pack a small piece in a small container (think lip balm or something like that). Take that and the spooly with you and you're fine.
Please no!!!! I love you but cant stand asmr. Nothing triggers me as much as it does. I just want to scream and punch and kick something or somebody. I cant explain its weird
I have super sensitive skin and have to use SLS-free soap, I was wondering if you could do a follow-up with different types of soap to figure out which active ingredients are the most helpful for soap-brows and which ones are a giant NOPE? (like would soap with high oil content be like an oil-cleanser and destroy your makeup?)
First time here. You are so naturally beautiful, I have to say I like your natural brows better than forcing your outer hairs up. Just me. You will be cute no matter what you do.
i use hairspray sometimes :) my brows are curly and stubborn as hell, so i spray a bit of hair spray on an eyelash brush and it helps them stay without them looking with i stamped them onto my face lol
Wowowowow. I'm a new subscriber and can't believe it took me so long to find your channel. Love love this video🙌 I'm going to try that soap brow technique!!
I have thick brows so a gel wouldn’t hold as much for me , but soap brows kinda work ! They are way strong and waterproof and hold my brows through the day and gives the brows a thicker look , the brow gel trend is over moving on to the SOAP BROWS !!!
I used my husband's hair pomade, just a bit. I also use it to tame forehead baby hair and stray hair from ponytail. It's great and we get to share product (a big plus lol)
I loved the dragonball Z reference 😆 my husband had to tell me super saiyan means lol.. I can't believe that soap worked so well!!! I cannot wait to try it💕 I wish the last product wasn't so damn expensive that's what I need in my life!
