maxkingone the best possible action, as the average person, is to fund projects for saving these animals. Not everyone has the ability to fly to Antarctica and help with preserving the wildlife for a year, and protests aren’t usually directed towards a group of people who find any significance in wildlife preservation.
@@aikonriche You think big companies just spring out of the dirt with a snap of your fingers? No, it takes time and effort. Just like nature conservation. If you're displeased with the deterioration of an animal species, go make a start. No one expects you to make a sudden difference, but the fact that it's a start matters. Look at Mr. Beast. I'm sure that he didn't begin his career with the intention of planting trees, but he started off as an ordinary guy who made the climb. Now, he's planting millions of trees.
Their plight is so heartbreaking! And this shows how much humans have done in the destruction of our planet and all life on earth, especially birds and animals. Thank you for sharing this with me
The fact that most people cannot intelligibly grasp that different species of different intelligence can still suffer in the same way is the failure of our species imo
When I saw the documentary, it broke my heart.. Sir David Attenborough narrated that the parent albatross go out into the ocean looking for food. During their absence, the birds are knocked over from their nests due to the heavy winds. They might die within a few hours in those conditions. Sadly, the parent albatross can not seem to recognize their own chicks unless they are present in their nests. In order to get warmth and food from their parent, the chicks have to climb on their own. Due to their under-developed legs and wings, it is extremely tough for them to do so. No help is received from the parent.. And not every young one is able to climb on.
Heartbroken enough to give up your car, stop wasting money on the next new smartphone, and to keep your wardrobe years old instead of just months? Yeah, I doubt it.
Midnight Mint though i don’t see how greed and needs have to do with it. not many people are even aware of the things they are doing is causing the decline of albatrosses
Ethically, this is the hardest job. Being a wildlife photographer or documentary creator, ethics don't allow them to help such beautiful creatures even though they desperately want to.
@@skaterdudeprodutions True. However, that's what all average people can do. Clean up their environment and plant trees. At least those 2 things are what's mainly proven to be "effective" in terms of helping the environment. It's not drastic but it does something positive for once. Big corporations are another problem that we can't just take down sadly, but eventually, an investment in the environment might be better rather than non-renewable or non-recyclable materials. I honestly think that makes sense but people are that greedy as to prolong their business on something that can't even last long.
They breed in season tho, yeah? So why not put up at first only a few wind barrieres on the isalnd, like just very easy, poles in the ground with plastic backings to cover a certain area. In the following breeding season, it can be observed if the birds would even use these places or if they feel unsure about them. If they do nest in these wind safer areas, then more could be put up. Use recycled ocean plastic for them while youre at it. If we humans cause these problems, we should find solutions too
i cant believe you just said plastic,to solve a man made problem you would actually add more man made problems, none bio degradable plastic,to coverforever changing wind directions?,the plastic wld end up where??yes in the ocean
So it was mostly long-line fishing that got their numbers down. Maybe those fewer numbers and neighbors meant they were less able to deal with being blown over. Also it looks like they got a nice new shed to match the nice green grass. 1:47
@@817ysgIjb she is just some kid going around demanding accountability. Villains are those who intentionally make others die or sick in exchange for better profit margins, like those company men and women who decided that they would rather pay compensation for thousands and thousands of deaths from a known car flaw than recall that car, and bury the information about the known dangers.
Slowly and gradually bit by bit, each passing day we are nearing the doomsday..so heart breaking to see nature's face defaced by our own so called " ACHIEVEMENTS "😥😥
How can you forgive shell, exxon, the "prosperous" nations with "strong" justice systems that fail(?) to see these crimes in plain sight. Inevitibility is such a convenient answer. It can be difficult to walk the talk but at least we're can try.
Taylor Atkinson there’s nothing staged about the population decline of so many animals leading to the extinction of many others because of climate change, loss of habitat and human encroachment. Your comment was neither witty or enlightened. These people are out there trying to save these animals which is far more noble than what you are doing with your purposeless life.
Islands are flooded/ crowded each year during breeding seasons by Not just BBC crew but several other TV, Film makers crews from world .... they come one year and then repeat again and again .. ... Not just day but Filming continues by some crews even in night .... no normal public but all film/ TV crews ..personal experience
I'm currently watching this. The complete first episode. And it showed how the parent albatross doesn't recognize their chick through appearance, sound, or touch. They need to be in their nest for them to receive the warmth and food. The chicks struggle.
These birds are absolutely stunning.. Humans destroy everything and yet humans make things better.. It's such a hard thing to wrap your head around.. Fine, don't believe in Climate change but that doesn't mean we shouldn't want clean air, clean water, healthy soil to grow food I mean come on..
1:49 Did you notice the *huts* at 1:49 ??? Maybe they have *templates* or plans or something ??? But *bees* build perfectly hexagonal honeycomb, maybe God built it into their innate behaviour ???
The Albatross parents don't recognize their own chicks if they see them outside the nest which is a head scratcher. Crows are WAY smarter. Hard to believe different birds can have such different intelligence.
Here in the Philippines the bad weather is so severe right now. But business man and woman won't accept the science findings about it, i might be safe right now but what about in the future..how i wish nature would go after those make 'em suffer and punished them till there last breath, maybe not right now but i hope it caught up them and make them realize what we went true because if there own greediness.
@@LeftInBama It isn't as if I wasn't able to infer the seriousness of your comment, rather what piqued my interest was why you would make such a comment in the first place? Does it seem to you like they have any choice?
When it filmed, no one knew that Corona Virus would attack the whole world. Almighty creator is not only for human beings alone, He is also for all other creatures. Now He is balancing everything at the cost of millions of lives.May Almighty protect all the lives on earth, forgive us & keep the deads rest in peace.
What can we do? How do we lessen or completely stop the use of fossil fuels? I love the videos that give awareness towards these issues but I think they would be more affective if it told us how we can help.
@@malhargore7805 By tugging at our hearts in these emotive ways and then blaming it all on common folk we are being set up to want to be taxed in a way that will alleviate the suffering of these poor birds and stop the wind blowing so strongly. "The perfect dictatorship would have the appearance of a democracy, but would basically be a prison without walls in which the prisoners would not even dream of escaping. It would essentially be a system of slavery where, through consumption and entertainment, the slaves would love their servitudes. " quote attributed to Aldous HUXLEY (1894-1963) So, it is best if we ask to be ( carbon) taxed, or at least see it as reasonable. You know, to help nature. After all it's our fault isn't it.
