on watching back, I realized I was in landscape mode, that's why I couldn't click objects in the outliner : bonehead maneuver, but incase you have that issue, welp... :) there's the fix, switch back to selection mode

@@robatkins yea I’m getting that too but i did some tweaking and it got a bit better (don’t remember it rn I’m not around my laptop today) but it had like 16 values and was one of the lower settings (i’ll edit this when i look at the name tomorrow or maybe today)
Does somebody know, why I dont get any breaking waves? Fluid Flux ignores my landscape completly. It seems like its spawned under the map and clips through the landscape...
@@vid828 if you smooth the landscape you can get it to see it so it works properly, though it’s tedious and if you have the ocean respawn you’ll have to do it all over again.
Hey nice vid, i do everything But if i place the domain in the level it appears red and nothing work, i look on google and fluid flux discord but seems no one got the same problem do i miss something? I create the landscape and place the domain but there just appear a red Square and not mask or match the landscape

This ocean looks crazy good! I’m a surfer and I would absolutely die if someone made a game that had wave physics depending on the depth of the ocean/reef, swell direction, and size. Just those three parameters would be epic. Of course you can consider swell period and wind direction as well.
Yep. Recreate the bottom of Jaws, Teehupo, Mavericks, Pipeline, Wamea, etc... Hell, even Nazaré. You could adjust the weather conditions and surf them glassy or completely monstruous. That would be the dream surf game. Add to it weither paddle or tow-in and wow.

Love your relaxed style! I have been trying off and on for the last year to get my animals from Indie Cat to float/swim in fluid flux. Have not been able to do it. Betting you are the most likely to pull it off. I would buy you an Indie Cat asset if you would give it a try? The Imaginary Blend documents were just updated with interaction info and settings but I failed again. :)
i'm on 5.3 i add the coastlinedomain bp and it automatically adds the fluxsurfacecoastline, but then i can't mess around with it, because when i select it the details tab is empty
Help me here, looks like flux is not recognizing my landscape, its not creating coastline, if I lift it to max height of the landscape water just disappears, did exact steps on you video but nothing works (((

It looks really great, but unusable, there are far too few tutorials on this distribution. Well yes, but they are all like this one, very short and only explains a very small part of fluidflux. That's why I always try before buying, if I find how to use it on the net, I buy directly but there, there are only small pieces of tutorials here, otherwise the rest just demonstrations.

i think its meant more for smaller areas tho the ocean part alone might be larger, the dynamic rivers and water flow is fairly small in space allowed, due to the heavy simulation calculations required
