Fluido Jam 5 SemiFinal: All Area Crew (Japan) vs Skill Methodz (Usa) www.fluidowear.com Winner: Skill Methodz (Usa) More infos: www.fluidowear.com - Video & Editing by www.crashindustries.it
I'm a Skill Methodz fan, and I think All Area took this. The tie-breaker is close, but there shouldn't have been a tie-breaker to begin with. Tiasuke is unreal...
@808ified that's like telling him to stop evolving. stop changing. stop being who he is. what he's doing is great and dope dude, you're basically going against what this dance is about: evolving. just let everyone grow and everyone do them.
Crazy battle! Two of my favourite crews in one of the best semi-finals ever. I would personally give All Area the win in regular time, but I agree with the judges that Skill Methods won the OT.
@Aznzzz I agree that any bboy can break however the hell they want, that's the beauty of it. But I do believe in a way people should battle. And I just feel that SKMZ-attitude fits that American, true-hip-hop archetype. Like I said, people can break however they want, but there's an attitude in battle that's been that way since the beginning of bboy battles.
Bboy Full Deck was on So You Think You Can Dance USA, he made Top 20. BBoy Jed from SA has been doing critcals for mad long, but not in a power combo like that!!!!! Taisuke and Luigi, sets of the Year!!!!
@XTudoX This. I have the utmost respect for All Area, I trained with them while I was in Japan back in August... Taisuke is a monster! But when it comes to grassroots bboy, it's really hard to top skill methodz
@bboyariel1 True, but a lot of judges also like to see freestyling rather than prepared moves. Adapting to and expressing the music while keeping prepared moves new and fresh makes for perfect sets.
@wearesuarez you also have to consider the fact that Luigi (as I admit is dope as hell) has used that set many times before, so the impact of seeing those moves were a lot less dramatic on a crowd of bboys. Taisuke's set however... no one has ever SEEN him do that shit, so people were very reasonably surprised/caught off guard
If Cloud and Flea were there I might be able to believe SKMZ won, but they were doing windmills and halo's against chair flare combos. Not to mention All Area's flavor and originality. AA got robbed. Luigi is dope as always, holding it down for the whole crew.
Both crews brining the heat damn sick battle... All Area Crew got robbed though i think that routine they did was sick Octagon! original! Taisuke and Luigi going head to head was nice both were on fire! The last sets they did to close out the battle... so nice watched it twice!
First of all that DJ is off the hook. that music makes you want to dance. Great battle by my two favorite crews. I have to give the edge to Skill Methodz though because they are the better dancers. Both crews are awesome. Too bad Cloud can't make a lot of these battles anymore.
SKMZ took this one by a small margin. They had the individual match ups on their side. Taisuke definitely killed it and was the one who probably carried All Area during the battle. If Cloud was there, then I would say that SKMZ is the clear cut winner. Props to both crews. Great battle!
Taisuke definitely killed it, but the rest of his crew wasn't good enough to overcome Skill Methodz. I could see why they didn't win. The match ups between members from each crew would have to go to Skill Methodz.
@chungt yea and they won the battle all area had already crashed twice and everyone in skill methods is well rounded all area everyone isnt well round but they are very dope at wat they do
Thought AA had this for sure, but after rewatching (several times) very closely, you begin to see the complexity in SKMZ sets--the ideas they were continuing were very strong/dynamic whereas AA had a different mentality, trying to cover all aspects as though it was supposed to be a contest of who could do more physical variation/mastery (almost a gymnastic mindset)of all the different aspects (toprock, "flavor", etc.)perhaps that is where they are wrong, because as SKMZ show, the execution
don't try to justify something that's already a fact which is AA is better. USA probably won bec. they had US judges on their side. This is the only factor that made US Bboy survived in international event lol
(continued) of the idea in question and the physicality of its changes are more sophisticated and are more powerful; especially in connection to the music, which I think AA may have had issues connecting with. With that being said, this was incredibly close and AA started catching up..towards the ending especially. But it is very clear that SKMZ were more mature about the dancing...AA was certainly incredibly amazing/athletic but they might have been too caught up in the "strategies" of winning.
wait whaaaaaaaaaaat how did skill methodz win??? dont get me wrong they're amazing ! but anyone can see from this video that all area crew simply KILLED it. itd be clear to even someone who doesnt bboy. both talented crews but all area should have won hands down....just look at the way the audience reacts man
I dont like Taisuke that much but, must say he's got some crazy moves like that holy fast flares, the crazy chairtrack thing and yeah.. that headswipe --> 2000 is helllla sick This battle was FIRE :) dope
