I'm wondering if I should've thrown that out a bare swim bait yesterday. I threw the whole kitchen and the sink at a wolf pack of 3-4 or possibly even bigger and couldn't get a bite or even any interest in my lures. and they were shallow chasing bite sized bluegill. those or a chatterbait swim jig. who knows.

They work year round also great in middle of winter and great in middle of summer 2nd most versatile bait in my soft plastics you can Texas rig them weightless and fish them like a soft jerkbait also you can fish just like any other Texas rig bait reel up let it glide to bottom also there great trailers for spinner baits and chatter baits I also use them nose hooked on my dropshot they crush it nose hook it also I Carolina rig with a fluke they have a awesome action behind that ball and chain they move so smooth and look just like a baitfish

Y’all should try just the plain “the fluke” (not the super fluke). Excellent bait to wacky rig, you can twitch it like a dying baitfish or even swim it along and make it look injured. Also just nose hook it (sideways through the head) and toss it out, jerk it and watch the very lifelike natural action it has. I use a 3/0 EWG Gamakatsu hook for all of this, same hook Debo was using.

Try the Arkansas shiner and the pearl white and thank me later, I've caught alot of bug fish on the Tennessee shad mainly big smallmouth, but I'm telling you now I have caught some dang taod in the baby bass, Arkansas shiner and pearl white, mainly for me pearl white but if you ever learn how to fish a fluke it's dangerous I've caught a many over 8lbs, but get you a light spinning combo, 8lb line, fluke with a 3/0 gamugatsu hook and hold on. You have to channel your mind to hunt for the big ones if possible, and with aflukenyou can catch the big ones trust me, and yes i said it 8lb line, got a buddy who catches big 8+lb bass on 6lb line, your drag and taking your time is your best friend I just like it cause it lessens the chance of fish getting spooked by your line if they happened to see it, give it a shot and thank me later.

Flukes are absolutely a confidence lure for me. Open water, grass, pretty much wherever for about 8-9 months of the year here in TN. I do adjust the size/gauge of my hook to adjust sink rate though, sometimes even using a very light belly-weighted hook. I have used the super fluke a bunch, definitely in the TN shad color, and I have used the 6th sense version of a fluke-style bait. My only issue with the majority of these out there, is that (much like a Yamamoto senko) they just don't last long, and I hate just buying and throwing away loads of plastic. Other than zman stuff, (which might act differently due to the buoyancy of elaztec), has anyone found a fluke bait with good action and decent durability?

Never used a fluke before but it’s on my list of things to try. Not sure how well the free rig would work from the bank. I have never pegged my Texas Rig and am can’t recall if you prefer pegged or unpegged. At any rate, if you prefer a pegged T-rig, I’m guessing you wouldn’t enjoy the free rig.

I wish I had more choices for bank fishing in my area. Unless I want to drive for an hour or more, each way, I only have 3 or 4 locations within 20 miles or so, and they're all heavily fished. One of the previously reliable locations has been overtaken by nesting cormorants so there is no forage base anymore. I've managed to catch 1 rock bass in 5 trips so far this season. Looks like it's gonna be a long year!

I’ve had several trips full of dinks. The worst part was, I had a dink on the hook and he knocked the bait (a Yum Dinger) up the line away from the hook while fighting, and then a solid 3 pounder voraciously attacked it but there was no hook in it so it swam away and left me to land the dink.

@@DEBOSFishing my first reply was deleted for some reason, but around the :41 mark, the color shifts from a contrasty, color-rich setting to a washed out look, and it does it repeatedly back and forth throughout the video. I’m a bit of a nerd with my super flukes. When I first get them, I take them all out of the bag and put them back in, arranged so they remain straight and flat. First one goes in upside down on its back, second one goes in right side up with its belly down against the first one’s tail. I arranged them head to tail that way, and since there’s 10 in a bag, I end up with 5 right side up and 5 upside down. They stay straight this way. I don’t use many colors of them so it’s easy to maintain it with just 3-4 bags.

Been a Fluke fan for decades now!!!! Super Fluke and original Fluke are different and I'm an "original" fan mostly. I like the old white pearl color but the newer flukes aren't the same. Old ones float somewhat but the newer ones do not. I modified every one of the original ones I throw. I prefer an Owner hook as well. Damiki are nice but you will go through some money with the nicer hooks. I throw both baitcaster and spinning gear. I prefer the spinning gear for distance and stealth. Baitcaster is strictly Super Flukes. I'm not trying to be quiet when I pick it up. I have used a nail for weight but I like em weightless best!!!! Baby Bass is a good color during summer but I will throw a Green pumpkin in a heartbeat. Carolina rig???? Oh yeah, that's a Big Bass Lollipop!!! Once upon a time, I had methialate. Way better than pink, by far. But I love a good fluke bite all day!!! Dinks are welcome as well!! It ain't fun unless there's a few " coma cosies" to get you going 😉. I've been on the Ned Dreds bite and it's been weirdly wonderful. They haven't seen one before and it's caught every size out there. Biggest is 4 lbs. so far. I'm hitting new water this week, can't wait to hit some old honey holes. Lake was renovated and it's been good lately. They're fixing to stock it in a few weeks but I'm after the old stocking that has been there a while. It's going to be phenomenal!!! Thanks for sharing 👊👊

Z-man did a collab with strike king to make a small fluke bait called the z-too and it has absolutely slays for me in moving water. I hook it onto the googan drop shot hook because the mono bait keeper keeps it pegged nicely, tie it onto a 8lb mono, and as soon as I see my line move I’ll count to 2 and it’s over for that feesh. I’ve had bass, crappie, and some big bluegill eat it so it’s definitely a de-skunker when times are tough
