Don't know why i feel this song like being in a breakup conversation. The intro is when the conversation starts, at 1:00 you understand like everything you loved is about to end. At 1:51 your heart don't want to accept the end of everything, that's why the melody has those breaks. Then, the final verse starts again at 2:39 like saying something like "there's nothing else to do." At 3:30 the conversation ends, and you are trying to figure what happened, but then, after 3:53 you finally accept you are now walking alone again, trying to find some beauty in life again.

Jacob, if you talk to ppl about what they don't like about things, you'll be amazed by the infinite array of aspects you never noticed or thought of... soooo many aspects that people perceive and interpret and relate to their memories/beliefs, and draw conclusions you or I could never come to. This is the thought process you're asking about. It's not at all about the thought process, I think we all share the same one. It's about memories, beliefs and perception. These, when combined in ceratin ways, make conclude that this song truly sucks. One possible example: too many too loud synths. Or maybe not enough obvious, striking structure (theme is a little bit obfuscated, not easily whistled)...
