I think the P220 does sound pretty good for sure at its price point - at least listening here on RU-vid with whatever sound compression schemes it uses. I wonder if at the end of your journey you will find that for different flutes you'll end up getting the "best" recordings using different microphones? Perhaps a "one size fits all" won't be the end solution. Still hoping you'll release an entire album one day on Bandcamp. That would be outstanding. Plus thank you for the Paul Horn recommendation. Hey! Yes the P220 is an excellent mic for its price point however I have a few mics with less accessories and features that sound a little better for less money.
