Apparently this is one of the more commonly modified condenser mic. If anyone is good with electrical tools, I bet it could save money buying this and the modification parts.

Hello! The original NT1 handles lower frequencies a little better in sensitivity and richness. It is a few steps above the Signature microphone. In my opinion, right now it's the best beginner bundle microphone I've heard so far. The P220 had that title until this one showed up.
If you reach into the bump & ding bin for a deal, that's what you'll get; a deal on bumps & dings. I am 90% certain that mount was bent when the cheap mic stand somebody mounted it to was knocked over from jerking a cable. Then the reseller did a mediocre job of repair. As a stagehand I've seen it a million times. I've bought many MXL mics new with zero issues. You're getting a good deal on them new as it is. If you cheap out to save a buck, you'll pay for it. I know this video is 4 years old and NOWADAYS I probably would steer clear of MXL because MARSHALL, the parent of MXL, is on the down-slide after being acquired by a private equity firm. I returned a AKG P420 because I just wanted to try it out for others and I thought it was good but not great. The Rode NT1 Signature series (I picked out the red one) is STUNNING! Your Rode NT1 ate that AKG P220 for breakfast , lunch and dinner!

I will use the microphone for vocal (recitation), so it is required to capture even the low pronunciation clearly. So, should I go for AT 2020? How does AT 2020 supports the Shure MVI audio interface?

I purchased an NT1 SS as soon as I saw them available on Amazon (black were the only available). The only complain (not to blame that much the mic) is that the microphone pics the room sound. So if you are interested in this one, consider treating your room a little to get the most out of it.
Hello! Please tell me if this microphone is suitable for recording tracks in the hip-hop/rap genre. I will record at home, in an unprepared room. I'm thinking between the Rode NT1 Signature Series and the M 70 Pro x.
Thank you for your video!!! I just started using cubase 10.5 and it's great to watch videos like yours. But I found a problem exporting the video. When I export the video, it has a blut horrible tone all over the video, as if there was a blue filter or something like that. How can I fix that??? Inside the program, I watch the video perfectly. The problem is the exported file.
Did you listen to it? This does not work. even at low volumes it clips. because it’s up very cheap microphone preamp. I just recorded a five hour concert for a friend of mine and it’s completely unusable. You should really listen to what you record and take down this video. we had the mixer at -12 DB and the Zoom H1 at -12 db. There’s other people that have the same issue. The zoom H1 preamp is made for microphone input only
Sorry. It sounds like your issue. Did you test your recording setup before recording the concert? Did you adjust your levels? Were you monitoring the recording during your tests and or concert recording? Did you even listen to the quality of the audio on this video? Maybe you should learn a little more about something before you complain about it.
@@CaneMajor I’ve tried everything and if you look online other people have the same issue. I had the levels super low. It doesn’t make sense. Unless they released a certain amount of that have a defect. Even if it’s a microphone level input it should not clip if the levels are low enough. I’ve recorded a line level into microphone input before I’m going to do a video and I’ll let you know. But it’s no use talking to zoom and I don’t wanna waste money on another one without knowing it’s gonna work
The only thing I'm not crazy about with my nt1 signature is the proximity effect is active at longer distances than usual. I have to add an extra 4-6 inches of distance or aim it at my chest. But it's worth it. Great mic

My Rode NT5's sound almost exactly like my Neumann KM184's, with third the price. And the feel is even better, because they design better clamps. Very high quality, for a good price. This microphone really highlights the richness of your voice really well.
I tested Rode NT1, AKG P120 and 220 along with AT2020, ST155 and others in a music shop couple of years ago, listened to your videos before, truly excellent choice (probably the best there is) in those price ranges.
