Your on the right track. Try some ANTI SPLATTER GEL ON THE PIECES YOU WANT TO WELD. THE GEL KEEPS DOWN THE SPLATTER AND BEE BEE"S FROM FORMING.

Lincoln Wire is good But i have found the Blue Demon E71T-11 .030 is Superior Very low splatter and welds Super smooth and cheaper then the Lincoln .

The harbor freight wire is trash. Get Lincoln wire of the same diameter and it will work much better, also clean the ground connection point ( I find that it helps too) with my old HF welder. Outside of that I love mine

First tack a few points so when you do your main weld the part doesn't move or bend. Try to do the length of the weld with one pass so you don't get porosity on each start and stop. If you burn a hole, then turn the wire speed/current down,, but looks like you could go increase wire speed/current or move slower. You should see the weld penetrate on the other side. Have fun.

Thank you. Sadly this welder has limited current control. just min and max. I'll have to play with it and see how they work. I think I need to adjust the darkness of the shield. I have it at the max setting, and I was having a hard time seeing what I was welding. I'll have to try turning it down a little.

@@TheFixitShed You can aim a light on your piece to help you see while welding. Wire speed probably increases current the higher you go. That min/max current is probably adjusting the ratio of current vs wire speed. Try a higher wire speed and I bet it will do better.

LOL. I had a hard time with this video. I bought the welder 3 months ago, and just took it out of the box last week. I was procratinating bad on this. It is hard to make a video on something you haven't done before.
