Randy Haynes the definition of sportsmanship, fair and generous behavior or treatment of others, especially in a sports contest. Come back when you get some!!!

FLW do you plan to revise (Rule 10) Sportsmanship in 2019?

I am a regular at KY lake and that is a huge community hole that is gold a few weeks a year. Same as a few other spots that load up at certain time during a year. That was very childish of Randy Haynes and I have lost all respect for him. I truly believe he is the best at ledge fishing and the Z-boss is far and above the best crankbait for ledge fishing. It was clear that three guys used that spot during the first two days. If Randy truly wanted to save that spot he should have sit in it after catching 20lb on the first day and not leaving it for others to find. I had a great pre-fish for a one day tournament on that same spot and had boat trouble only to watch another guy win tournament that was on that spot when I finally got there. The map they show is off by a few hundred yards!

IAM Crankinstein If Jason didn't see randy there the day before he would not have known to go there . They were both heading to the same spot on that day and Randy's boat was faster . This is way Bass had limit's on there boat's in the old day's , ever boat had a 150 HP limit on it . So is Randy a better fisherman then Jason or just lucky he beat him to the spot .

Richard, Jason was on that spot the first day and randy went on by.

They should've just fished it together, 20yr friendship may the best man win. They could've wagered some friendly bets and made it fun. Life is too short, you're already #1 & #2 just send it and again may the best man win.

In the interview with jt kenney he was saying that happened at another tournament with 5 boats were side by side and everyone was joking around and having fun. I guess Randy didn't get that its not the end of the world. Its just one tournament in a series. Some of us would give our left arm to compete at that level. Its sad to see someone so easily discouraged. Can you imagine if we were at our job and we just walked out because someone upset us we wouldn't be invited back.

Question is there an written or unwritten sportsmanship rule, where you yield to the tournament leader in reasonable circumstances?

When you introduce money into ANYTHING in life, people will ALWAYS have issues like this. Money, pride and the competitiveness of these tournaments is what causes this behavior.

first come first served - because you are the leader does not earn any particular spot ( it is a competition - and what "ethically i need to let the leader have his spot- this is not ethics) - it does earn the title "leader" but not lake or water ownership - a simple easily enforceable etiquette ruling would be separate by casting distant (times 2) and not traveling in opposite direction - but who knows how FLW interprets the following - their own rules 10. SPORTSMANSHIP All contestants are required to follow high standards of sportsmanship, courtesy and conservation and to conduct themselves in a manner that will be a credit to themselves, to FLW, FLW’s sponsors, the sport of fishing and FLW’s efforts to promote the sport. Conduct not complying with these standards includes, but is not limited to, the following: • Violation of, or failure to comply with, any of the rules for the 2018 FLW Tour. • Consumption and/or possession of alcoholic beverages or any kind of mind-altering substance during registration or tournament hours extending through the weigh-in procedure. • Abuse of, or addiction to, mind-altering substances. • Conviction of a felony within the past 36 months. • Suspension/disqualification, probation or ban from any tournament or fishing organization. • Boat operation in an unsafe or unsportsmanlike manner. • Publicly criticizing or questioning the integrity of FLW or FLW officials, including but not limited to FLW rules, policies and procedures. • Dissemination of disparaging content or content that one should reasonably know would harm the reputation of FLW, FLW officials or FLW sponsors. • Any other words, conduct or actions reflecting unfavorably upon efforts to promote safety, sportsmanship, fair competition and compliance with tournament rules, or which fail to comply with the standards set forth in the first sentence of paragraph 10. In case of any conduct not complying with the standards outlined above, FLW shall have the right to refuse an application to compete, to deny a confirmed application to compete by returning the entry fee (minus deposit), to disqualify a contestant or impose any penalty outlined in paragraph 1.

I just fished it 2 days and both days guys were all over the spot. Shame watching guys fight and watch guys intimate each other by crowding on someone to push them off and get inside their heads. Thing is every guy i watched argue said it wasnt a community hole. Funny thing is no one caught any fish off that area while i was there. Seen college guys arguing over spot 2 days.

IT'A A SIMPLE THING!! Who came first is fishing the spot. RANDY is a baby .... He is worried about what the FLW is coming to... It isn't FLW it is him and his idea that he is so ''PECIAL''...

That's crazy embarrassing !!!..It sounds to me like the guys been burned out long before this by what he said, and this is was just what he needed to go home. When you're on the tournament trail and your mind is back home on work you would rather be doing than fishing. You are burned out !!! Bet his sponsors are at the debate table !

This will never happen in the elite series!!! No respect for another angler, and FLW is at fault for this. They need a regulation on how close a boat can b next to another boat.

johnny saechao lambert got their first end of discussion and said hey let’s just share it Haynes was being a baby and left The tournament? Come on now your just gonna roll out on 100k because of that? You know what you do you show why your the best right in front of the guy on top of you that’s what I say.

I’m confused... why did Randy think he was entitled to that spot if Lambert got there first? He was in 1st place, just go do what a pro fisherman does and catch fish somewhere else. If he just would have waited he could’ve had the spot all to himself at 10 AM.

I agree with mac they were both fishin that hole first two days first man there day three fishes it first . Just sayin
@hunterfant1289
@hunterfant1289 6 лет назад
that's if a guy is in 10th or way behind, but when its 1st and second fishing the same spot, its that close and they have both caught their fish there then its first guy there, leading the tournament gave you a chance to get there quicker. if lambert was in 15th and went to his spot he was in the wtong but since he was that close and he got there first then randy could have shared or went somewhere else...

Lambert fished it for 30 minutes on day 1 and didn’t touch it on day 2 that’s why.

If I was a sponsor of Randy's I would be highly upset with his antics. You're getting paid to fish and represent them in this series and you pull this stunt. I would drop him. Let your other job pay for your boat, truck, gear, and entry fees.
@gamesofcontent
@gamesofcontent 6 лет назад
You're right. At first I just thought of him as being a cry baby, I didn't even think of the business contractual obligations he has. He must have well over $100,000 in gear there, given in expectation of advertisement and endorsement and he withdraws because someone got to a spot before him. That is unprofessional and unacceptable. I do not know if I would drop him completely, but I would dock him pay, endorsement, or whatever means I have according to the contract.
@fishingfreakgomez1409
@fishingfreakgomez1409 6 лет назад
i Bee Amazin I have been into fishing now for a while. And I would be so happy and humbled that any company would sponsor me. I pay for everything that I have and need to make it to tournaments and fish. I believe his actions were unprofessional. You have everything you need to go find fish. Top of the line gear and boat. Go do what a good angler does. Go find fish and wet a line.

While he, nor I, would make the same choices we did that day- and I am not too keen on reliving this day or hashin up old times- There are a lot misconceptions surrounding this level of competition as a whole.. @fishing freak Gomez, his other job does pay for his boat, truck, gear, and fees.

Lambert was there first. He owns the spot. Haynes should’ve left. Lambert was the better man the day before when Haynes had the spot, he motored on. I disagree with his tactics. Disappointing. Lambert showed class by offering to share the spot.

@jeromejonestv

That is sad. People would give their left arm to be able to fish the FLW Tour and this spoiled crybaby of a man decides to completely ditch the tournament and go home? What about his sponsors? What about the kids that are watching. Lambert was cool with it. The guy could have sat there and fished all day in that spot. Lambert was there first, and he was the leader. Where is the sportsmanship, where is the respect? I see people saying nasty things about Lambert but I do not see the foul. And on top of this they are at one of the biggest lakes in the country, if it bothers you that much just go find another spot. There are thousands of ledges on KYLAKE... Sad Sad display of entitlement and poor sportsmanship. Im dissapointed in Mr. Hanes. You don't own a spot bro> Besides I though there was rule about how close you can fish to another boat in competition?
@honchoxba
@honchoxba 6 лет назад
That's the worst ethical conduct I've ever seen. Offshore ledge fishing, and Lambert doesn't even give him a boat length distance. I'm surprised it didn't go full NASCAR antics. But it's pro fishing, you lose your career if a fight breaks out!

Lambert told Rob that there was ONE cast you could make at the spot. AND LAMBERT WAS THERE FIRST, then Haynes tried to block him... Haynes needs to lay those floors or grow up! I fish tournaments (not at this level obviously) if someone is there first I put on my big boy pants and move on!
