Brian... Props to Blane. Lots of great advice. My large flies are not his large size, but I know his tips will definitely help. And that straight line pull off is amazing. Never thought about it but I do that on my backhanded water load cast all the time which casts better than my front version more often than not. Great casting episodes... Finally subscribing now... thx. and thanks to Lefty too.

Brian this was absolutely terrific. Last summer I used several of Blane's game changers while fishing up in northern Wisconsin. And my arm got very very tired and sore. No more after this video. Many many thanks and now am off to practice.

Great video love the info. Now taking into consideration the second most important aspect of the set up. What about the leader? Obviously using big flies and bigger rods for 9 inch flies what about the leader for 5 and 6 weight leaded streamers 3-6 inches in length. Is there a specific formula you have used?

Late to the comments. But this is gonna be very helpful for my casting. Also I’m Curious. For the 8 & 10 wt BC Big Fly Rods; is there a recommended fly size? ie 8 wt , 2-4” flies etc? Thanks again.

I love the technique but it's difficult to cast like this in a boat with three. One on the bow and one on the stern and a guide running the trolling motor. Think big fly in your ear.

All in the positioning of the boat. Pretty easy actually. Thanks for watching.

What about wading river fishermen. We don’t always have 90 feet behind us. I’m wondering if this “on a plane” technique would work. I’m not questioning this technique at all obviously this man is a world class caster I’m just trying to apply it to my fishing conditions.
