We visit Pembrokeshire Anglers Association in West Wales, where we explore the stunning Western Cleddau river with Vaughan Thomas in search of wild trout. #fishinginwales #troutfishing
Thank you Gents, great video. The Cleddau is an absolutely magical river, with fantastic wild brown trout fishing. I've also caught a number of sea trout on the dry over the years, size 14 deer hair sedges and griffin's gnats.
Nice video. Just in time for me as visitor to the area within 4 weeks. I wonder if someone could provide me some tips for a nice 3-4 hours of fly fishing West Cleddau. Easy access or bit of walk through country side no problem but I cannot afford timewise to do a lot of seaching for access. Any help much appreciated. Greetings, Marcel, The Netherlands
The stretch we fished would be prefect, at Treffgarne. You could also message the fishing club on their Facebook page. facebook.com/PembrokeshireAnglers
Really nice pace and style of this video. Only fishing Ynys y Fro and Pant Y Eos lakes at the moment, wanting to get onto local rivers. So I’d need a 10’ 3-4# rod for euro nymphing? What other size and weight of rod(s) would I need? The Ebbw is 5 minutes walk from my front door!
Below Trehafod its Osprey fly fishers club, which you can join to fish that section. Above there it's no longer clear if anyone has the fishing rights, people do fish it. You could always ask permission of local landowners.
