Fly Fishing Franconia Notch under the former profile of the Old Man of the Mountain 

Profile Lake, named for its view of the former Old Man of the Mountain, an official New Hampshire state emblem. The lake is a cold water pond located in Franconia Notch of the White Mountains and is the head waters of the Pemigewasset River. As the sun sets, it’s light reflects off the mountains and onto the lake, add to this insect hatches and rising fish makes this a very special place. So special that you might forgive the noise from cars passing on Rt 93. So it goes ……
