Late evening fly fishing for Sea Trout on the Border Esk at Canonbie in Dumfries and Galloway. A calm evening with water at low levels. A considerable amount of damage to the river banks has occurred over the 2023/2024 winter as you will see from my previous videos.

It looks very flat, was it super low. I fished the Eden & Lune about the same time and they were on their bones.

Yes, the water was and still remains today very low, today the waters currently running at 0.310m, on the evening this was filmed it possibly would have been better fishing further upstream possibly at the Mill pool with the deeper water. Some fresh water is desperately needed to get the fish moving through the river system.
