I saw your video. I lived on that pond and hunted observatory mountain. The fishing isn't as good as it was 25 years ago. Good luck and keep fishing and posting, you have the right idea keep getting away from people.

I hunted ruff grouse, woodcock and whitetail deer. The fishing for salmon and brook trout can be very good in both the ponds you were fishing. Keep finding cool areas with less people. I know it can be hard to do out there.

If you folks keep showing all the fishing spots in Maine on the internet the brook trout and salmon will take a big hit after making a big comeback in the last ten years.
