I really resonate with the swing of emotions here. There’s times when everything seems to go wrong out there … and then you catch a gorgeous trout. It’s always worth it, but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t dog your spirits.
In Wisconsin you are allowed to fish any navigable water way whether there is an easement or not. You just have to access it through public property such as a road right of way or DNR easement. So even though the land easement ends, you can still keep walking in the river. Regardless of what the land owners tell you, they do not own the water their property goes up the normal riparian line or normal water limit.
Man that sucks, hope the camera turned out ok. The other day I was setting up a hunting blind trying to get my sister her first turkey when the wind rolled the blind across the field, then the decoy lol. Wind can definitely be frustrating. You still nailed it with some beautiful gems!
The wind does not discriminate! haha that sounds like a rough start to a hunt! The camera body is good, but the lens needs to be replaced! Those fish sure made me feel better though, they were amazing!
Enjoy watching your videos. Your Dad asked me today if I had watched this yet with all the problems you had. A bad day fishing is better than a good day at work.
Several times in this video I could see some splashy takes in the background while you talked to the camera. I have fished that bridge on Bishop. It is such a tease. Always lots of surface activity upstream of the bridge, but so hard to get a fly to them. Bummer about your net, hat, and camera. Some days...
They were hammering the surface! I couldn't even tell what in the world they were munching on either! Haha yeah this was just one of those days! Got my teeth kicked in, but getting on a few of those fish helped ease the pain haha
