Is there a way to just change the color of the clouds without changing the subject?

I believe so. You'd probably start by pre-comping those original cloud layers (So it's all one layer) and then duplicate it (Use the duplicate as an alpha). Add your colour effects like a hue or saturation effect on the first pre-comped layer. And then use that duplicate as an alpha key. HMU on Insta if you need anymore help! @errorunknownstudios

can you explain the first scene where he is floating up with the balloon

Yeah no problem, this was really simple. I combined two video plates, one with the main talent and one of the balloon tied down (Both on a green screen) Then I just put them together in after effects and animated the position. I just used the same clouds as mentioned in the tutorial and a moon image found online. Hope this helps!
