How do you fly to 4 airports in 15 minutes? Editing helps, join us for a Cessna 172 trip to 4 San Juan Islands!
There are lots of airports on the San Juan Islands, some are public but most are private, one of my favorite things to do after a period of no flying is to fly to Orcas/Eastsound + Lopez Island + Friday Harbor then back to Bellingham. This video takes you along, focusing on the "fun bits" aka takeoff and landing at each airport. It was a breezy day (not too bad) and I was channeling my inner "island pilot" skillset, all in all it was a good day!

When the weather improves I'm hoping to make it to Salem, do some flying/filming in your backyard. Be well my friend!

@@GingerThePlane sadly, I may not be here to say hello. My doctor is getting me set up with hospice and a morphine Viagra cocktail. Borrowed time, Tom...borrowed time. Please keep making videos like this and I will still fly with you each time you publish.

@@GingerThePlane thank-you Tom. I hope that your channel continues to grow. Part of my estate will be used to sponsor high school students for flying lessons. Between the two of us, we should be able to decrease the pilot shortage. 😉

Love this video, some incredible approaches up in that area. Can't wait to have the opportunity to hit a few myself. Have you landed on Vancouver Island yet?

It is amazing, my favorite is Orcas Island - it’s like a carrier landing! I’m a new owner of my own airplane, about 18 mos now, Covid has kept me out of Canada but we’re hoping to get to Victoria and Tofino later this summer. If you guys ever visit the PNW let me know, I’d love to show you a few places.
