In this video i demonstrate on how to add a feather wing to a classic salmon fly. I hope you will enjoy watching it and if you would like me to do a specific video just add that to the comments and i will ensure to add that request.
I'm still convinced tying on married wings properly requires one part of black magic. I am getting better though and still striving to master this mysterious dark art! The most common fault I believe people do when starting though is making the wings too wide in comparison to their skill level.
jgrimsta its not as Easy as it looks 😃, tying a lot help then you get a natural feeling with the materials What i would call the black magic. Also having Good prepared materials help out a lot.
@@jonas_flies I agree, practice and prepping materials is key. I've been having fun with making my own pattern based on and inspired by the norwegan flag. A salmon crazy colleague has ordered me to make a few for him to try in Gaula amongst other rivers this coming season lol. "Just dont make them too pretty because our king fishes there sometimes and he might not like us throwing them into the river...." But seriously I think the color combinations look quite good, I just need to improve my skills abit to do it justice.
