Thread: Nanosilk 30D, Beige
Hook: Partridge Czech Nymph
Bead: 2.8mm Tungsten, Matte Black
Body: Turkey Biot, Olive
Rib: Ultra Wire Small, Olive
Thorax: SLF Squirrel, Brown Olive
Thorax Cover: Turkey Biot Quills, Olive
UV Resin: Deer Creek Diamond Fine Flex

Great looking fly. Did you add the UV resin to the biot body to make it stronger? I have tied them with the wire and they are pretty sturdy. Does the resin extend the life of the body very much? Just wondering if I want to add it to my flies. I do use it if I haven't put the wire on. It is my shortcoming that I do forget the rib from time to time. All the best, Sean

The UV fly finish is super great! I use it on my Clousers for salt water toothy critters, and on my scuds and nymphs for fresh water fish. It makes them last much longer. It also gives some a transparent, live look. -And makes the colors jump out at you.

Hi Sean, yes I add the uv resin for added durability but on such small flies I don't know if it really makes a big difference. It just looks nice. All the best, Simon

Very nice tie. Getting the fly down quickly is important, in my opinion. I can't find such large biots. Do you get them from an American supplier? Thank you for a great video.

Look for turkey biots. Goose biots are more common, but not nearly as large.

Hi Gerald, thank you very much. Yes I like to tie my flies quite sparesly to get them down where it matters. As handcannon said try out turkey biots, they are a lot longer. I get mine from Hareline in the States
