Nice to look back on a warm Spring day when the trout are on top of the water even though we just got blasted with a Winter storm. My journey. The flies are one part of the riddle. I've always had time for older people, even at a very young age. I found that it was the people who did not speak much that held the real nuggets. To be truly able to listen is a great gift. Rollerblade's, fly fishing, what ever takes you to there. Late one day I received an invite from a friend to go fishing a day before he immigrated from Ireland for good. A very last minute thing, I ended up driving through the night to make it. In the dying light of that day he produced the biggest fish of his life. Each image from those precious moments will stay with me forever. ATB.

Its easy to lose perspective these days with the creatures who call themselves our role models. I love old school and much like Slomo says in the video he is able to settle in his mind to an age of 11 1/2. Its a happy age. I still am around there with my catching critters and loving the outdoors. I know you feel it too scrambling down those cliffs. Its living. Its life. Its happiness. We all need to make the time to be 11 1/2.

Glad you liked it. What a great fly to have in the box. The magnifying glass light was a birthday gift. A good birthday gift. Not sure I could do the small flies without it these days.
