Awesome!! How good does the Bell 222/Airwolf look!!! Love the Nav lights too. I bought a 500 sized and still can't bring myself to drill holes for the light kit lol. Great flight times on these too!
@steveblackbird you'll love her even more once you put lights in, but yes a daunting experience when they are in pristine condition! Good luck with the instal.... I'm sure you know if H1 is powering your RX then don't take a current from it. Your rx needs to be powered independently from H1. I beleive flishrc use that method anyway, bit be careful when adding lights. Just double check your rx isn't being powered via sbus cable. Happy days!! 👍
@@Tucker_T Cheers mate, They're ready to go in.. I'm just keeping the drill bits away for a bit lol. There's a seperate BEC powering the RX and yes Flish do that with their helis.. I asked before I bought it lol. I much prefer a seperate BEC with expensive model aircraft..all my EDF's have them.
@leftnuff no worries. If you use FB then look for" flywing H1 Flight Controller" group. In here you can get the advice you need on light systems for this model. You can't use a traditional setup in these helis as the flight controller/gps is very sensitive so lights have to have an independent power source....
Trust me it's standard on this model and it can't be fitted any other way. This is standard on the fw450 v3 mechanics. If you look at my fw450 v3 (orange.heli) it's exactly the same. This is how all flywing tails are on this model. They do however have an add on fin which isn't on this heli. They are stuck on with a m3 pad so I haven't fitted it. This has all been stripped out and has become one of my winter projects. Complete overhaul, new paint, guns, bombs new lights and on top of that I will be designing a new tail fin. It is right for these mechanics but for scale it's terrible.... hence new improved version coming soon 👍
@fogcityrc4874 I have the flywing fw450 v3 and have used those mechanics in the Flywing Airwolf Fuselage. If you buy the Airwolf rtf it has the mechanics from the fw450 v2.5. So I opted not to buy a rtf kit and use the more modern mechanics in this shell. Can not be purchased in this configuration as a rtf kit.
@rob8761 the safest place is direct from manufacturer. Personally I used Ebay but all the ali baba/express sites sell them too. If you buy a rtf airwolf it has a fw450 v2.5 inside. I didn't do that. I purchased the fw450 v3 then added the flywing Airwolf shell.
@leftnuff Thanks! Unfortunately there is no links for this light system as I built it myself with various bits from old models. The nav lights (side&strobe) are a std aviation pack, the red beacons and landing light are from a 1/18 scale truck.
