Great info. You said the spin reduction was 600 but according to the numbers you put on screen, it was a 6K rpm spin reduction. Is it normally such a drastic change in spin?

I forget where it was exactly, but there was some shot that Scottie Scheffler hit where it was a short iron out of rough, and Trackman had it at 800 rpm of spin. I think it probably depends on rough, but you can generally expect spin rate to be cut down drastically and the only stopping power you'll have will be height.

@@BlueDragonKorea I would have to think that is an error. Even low spin drivers have spin rates above 1500 so for a short iron to have 800rpm of spin doesn't seem plausible. At such a low spin rate, I think the ball would knuckle and not hold its line.

@@xxthadeucexx You get additional loft and launch with an iron compared to a driver, so it's not going to knuckle the same way a driver would, but as you saw in this video, the balls had no chance at holding the green, even with a similar looking launch/flight. So it's possible to just get stupidly low spin out of the rough, it just won't behave the same since you're launching it way up in the air with the loft of the iron vs. a driver
