Thanks for all of the good information about the V-maxx Classic setup. You're one of very few reviewers that comment on the difference in ride and handling that really illustrate the changes in how it feels. Your input helped me decide to go with the V-maxx Classic as opposed to the XXtreme setup. Unrelated question...What radio antenna is that or where did you get it? How is the reception? I've been trying to find a replacement for my powered one that fits the lines of the car, like yours does. Thanks!

On my NB I have the FM Koni/Sway kit. FM Springs/Enkie RP-F1 15" - This is my second Miata. Sway bars are the best bang for your buck - even if you keep stock suspension. Biggest difference is in cornering as it will hold the car flat. 205's were too big for me not a rubbing issue - just too heavy. You have PLENTY of grip with a 195/55/15 tire. Too many instances I notice TOO much grip and weight to pull around with the 205 so I have gone back to 195's I've gone through 2 sets of Dunlop Direzza ZII Star specs one in 195 and one in 205. The 195 is absolutely perfect. Given that it is an expensive tire - there is nothing wrong with the cheaper Z102's they have decent grip but still nothing like the ZII's. If I was to go any kind of forced induction I would probably be ok with 205's but its still overkill in my opinion. I also had an alignment and hunter balance. The reason for doing this mainly is to eliminate shimmy vibrations at 65 ish MPH. This hunter balance caused my car do drive perfectly smooth. I should note that I have had the Miata.net famous lanny's alignment and the FM alignment specs. The FM specs were more rear grip friendly and the lanny alignment specs were more all four wheels 'balanced' alignment. it depends what you want to do but given that I had put all lot of money into a good flat balanced ride I stay with the lannys alignment specs.

Zachary Great info! I'll think about those tire sizes next time I switch

I already have the vmaxx coilovers fitted to mine. Do you think there is any benefit fitting the sway bars as well for street use ?

Absolutely! Bigger sway bars make a huge difference with turn in response and flat cornering, particularly the front one. Even just upgrading the front would be worthwhile and only a bit more than $100 :)

This needs an MCM shoe test in a separate video (before and after the break-in) ;)

What was your ride height here ? Did you lower it more ?

I measured it at the time but I don't remember the exact height - I did lower it a bit in the front after a few weeks of settling (but only minimally), and unfortunately I was never able to get the rear much lower than this
