Sunset in Truth or Consequences is always breathtakingly intensely warm, get out for a walk around town, hike up to the water tower for jaw droppingly spectacular views any time of day.
Passion Pie Cafe is the most exciting eatery in town, grab a bite there and hike up the road to the water tower to get drone like views. Stop at passion pie again on the way down. Really miss the Grapevine Bistro. Outer Edge Pizzeria may be open later than other restaurants, also easy walking from most hotels.
T or C Brewing has great beers near most the restaurants as well, stop there for a beer first, they may have delivery organized directly with neighboring restaurants, perhaps even have food delivered directly to your barstool without leaving the beer.
Sidekixx at what was the Bedroxx Bowling Alley has great pizza and friendly staff too. Linh's Rice and Noodles practically shares the same parking lot, and it’s some of the best Chinese/thai food I have ever tasted.
Firewater Hotsprings Hotel has best value rooms with private in room/outdoor hotsprings tubs you fill as needed directly from the hotsprings. Blackstone isn’t great, overpriced, and the half of the hotel facing the carparts store (carquest) gets loud truck traffic all night.
Riverbend Hotsprings seems popular, more of a social party place than the others? Haven’t stayed there.
This video primarily shows Truth or Consequences New Mexico, with a dash of Elephant Butte Dam Wall. Filmed a few years ago, early 2022. Today, Elephant Butte has signs posted saying no drones allowed. There were no visible restrictions in signage, or on ALOFT when I did pre-flight checks a couple years ago when filling this.
