C'mon, Tracey you're in Kenya abundance coffee and tea, and u miss starbucks 🤣. I get you though, I guess it's the variety of drinks you'll miss. Karibu nyumbani great content as always 👍. Travel post covid has definitely changed, ticket prices have gone up, and what we used to take for granted even on non low cost airlines is gone. Nowadays, even picking your seat before checkin costs money. I hope things will go back to normal soon 🤞
Welcome back 🙏🏾 the Ryanair airline is no go zone I prefer arabs airlines (qatar ,Emirates,Air dubai ,Turkey) or Singapore or Japan one of the best out there .
Been to Nairobbery, Naivasha, Nanjuki and Zanzibar, made fantastic friends in Kenya and Tansania and some memories and stories no one will believe. I completly trusted the Kenyan, the business class was affordable enough not to bother.
Eurowings has been around for quite a long time. Based at Dusseldorf. It was an LCC, but Discover seems to be an attempt at competition with Norwegian that was quite successful long haul LCC to North America. The airline mostly wet leases aircraft, so the crew and aircraft are not owned or operated by Lufthansa
@@eddiedejager4409 Remember Eurowings GmbH and Discover GmbH are 2 different Airlines with 2 different AOC´s and two different approaches of flying. Eurowings is the LCC of Lufthansa based in DUS while Discover is a new LEASURE Airline like Condor based in FRA. Meanwhile Discover only uses the Name "Eurowings" DISCOVER to get an stable approach into the market. Please don't mix those 2 Airlines. The name Eurowings will be dropped in the near future anyways - So it will be only DISCOVER.
7:11 I once asked my friend if she will sleep on the plane all the way back to Canada, she said, nope never she is afraid of sleeping in planes, she will be awake 😂.
I’m actually surprised you got food served for free on Eurowings, we had a short connection in Frankfurt with them and all we got was a small bottle of water 😅

Footage of Frankfurt Airport triggers bad memories for me. I spent a night sleeping on a lounge chair last year after a Lufthansa staff mistake made me miss my connection 😞 I know that airport like the back of my hand, believe me.
That Euro thing sounds like a glorified budget airline across the Atlantic! Such long haul flights out to be of premium service even if it's in economy class. Years ago when BA was flying a Concord London-Nairobi and when no budget airlines existed then, most of us held inflight service in high esteem due to premier standards then. The Concord was configured in First-Class from head to tail. That is the Golden Era of air travel gone by
Nahhhh i dont think so, they have a lot more to offer, and eurowings and eurowings discover are two different Airlines, and eurowings is not as cheap as ryanair, you will never find a 6,99€ Ticket when booking with eurowings
Its like we used to fly air nz and the price was all inclusive. Now you have 3 choices to pay for. A seat, a seat and a bag, and then a seat a bag and food. You used to get it all in the same price not now real annoying.
The legroom is a disappointment...For those long distance trips, you definitely need some space in between the seat ahead of you to move your feet a little bit when you feel like doing it.This airline looks more like a budget airline though.
Eurowings is not brand new, it was founded in 1993 and taken over by Lufthansa in 2011. It used to be a regional airline but Lufthansa took it over and made it into their low-cost carrier to compete with Ryanair and Easyjet. Eurowings discover is a new airline, but has nothing to do with Eurowings, the name was just chosen because Lufthansa founding a new airline during covid, while getting billions from the German government at that time would be a PR-disaster. They dropped the Eurowings name now and the airline is now called discover airlines, just as it always was meant to be called. It is also not a Star Alliance member and the only real purpose for discover airlines is to take over routes from Lufthansa with crews that get paid less, because the minimum wage Lufthansa and the German workers unions agreed on are not valid for discover since it's technically a different company.
@@DaveMani You are right on complacent crew on LH. Most of these dinosaur airlines (pun intended 😂) have no clue that it's the crew that makes a client a repeat flyer or not! Loyalty or not, I only fly those who appreciate my patronage.
The legroom is terrible for 8hrs. I would be miserable. Omg pay for stuff they should provide. But airlines are becoming very mean with food. I noticed most are not serving two meals. Its one main meal with some snack.
This trend of full service suppression is gaining foothold and moreso on European airlines, American airlines already pioneered that! Middle East and Asian airlines are ironically spoiling their passengers with so many perks. Flying EK,ET or QR is a whole new world all together....pure opulence even in economy!
Montréal - Toronto - Boeing 777 3:35 Airbus A330 4:20 that's because Eurowings is a LCC. They're not a full service airline 9:04 Airbus A330 My opinion Lufthansa is just as bad. I'd avoid the Lufthansa group altogether. Even in 2013 they were bad. Too much cost cutting. And the food is edible only because you don't have a choice, you're hungry. On a morning flight from Frankfurt to Geneva we were served 3 slices of apple. So much choice from Canada to Africa that unless the ticket price was $2 I wouldn't bother with Lufthansa group.
But you pay less than a „high end“ airline, their prices are higher because all those things are already included. You didnt pay a Lufthansa or emirates price, you get what you pay for:)
Booked air canada to Nairobi from Minneapolis. My experience was was not good at all, delays with Air Canada and no leg room with both(air Canada or Lufthansa). My luggage arrived in Nairobi two days later. On my return flight I paid close to $500 for extra leg room from Frankfurt to Toronto for three people. I was trying to save money, l should have booked with Delta. Never again will l fly Air Canada.
Canadians are so diverse and it's hard to pin a particular accent universally. Granted, those from Quebec have a hint of French accent when speaking English like Dave.
There’s a reason a ticket price is cheap. Yup everything else is extra. Gone are the days of flying in a 747 from Montreal to Toronto. Like any other business, airlines are in business to make money. Pay cheap, you get cheap. Pay more, you get more. Now imagine if you fly on a charter.
You're right. The problem is, we booked Lufthansa, paid a lot for the flights and got put a a Eurowings Discover flight on the return part... We flew Lufthansa all the way when going to Canada...
