Flying Bonza 737 Max 8 From Avalon To The Sunshine Coast | How Is It?

On the 29th of April I flew from Avalon Airport in Victoria to the Sunshine Coast in Queensland on Australia's newest airline, Bonza. Not only was this a new airline but also a new aircraft for myself, being the 737 Max 8. The day starts at Adelaide airport, before we make our way down to Melbourne and onwards to Avalon.

@@LukeCrisp I like it here but not in the summer when it's 120 degrees it's ridiculous. Nothing tops my home state Colorado I've only been out here a few years I'm ready to go back home. 😁

@@lizmontana9177 Haha! Yeah we get the same type of weather here in SA… 120F or 48C would be the highest though… it’s been a couple of years since we have had that kind of heat.. I’ve heard Colorado is quite picturesque! Amazing landscapes etc

Good to see you arrived safely given the 737 MAX is a killer aircraft. Bonza in Italian is slang for cocaine. Luke it may be interesting to look at bonzas investors, 777partners. They are charging bonza 18% interest so it will interesting to see how long bonza last. Happy travels

Thanks Phil! I appreciate the comment. Although the difference in sound wasn’t really noticeable in the video, you can certainly tell the difference on the plane.

Hi Luke! i'm from New Zealand,wow! this is a awesome flight review of Bonza.,awesome to see that they are using the 737 Max as their chosen aircraft to cater to their destiations within Australia.Maybe in time when they grow more,they will be able to fly inbetween the city to cities & take-on the big boys carriers like Qantas.

You’ll be hard pressed to come across IFE seat backs on domestic flights within Australia…. Some QF 737s have them… a330s Ofcourse. But yeah.. I rarely get a flight which have them at all, let alone a low cost flight.

Calling staff "legends"? Stupid. Aircraft names: cringeworthy. It's USA-backed: probably within two to three years, it'll be broke, or forced to seek a merger with largely locally owned Rex and/or foreign-owned Virgin Oz. Didn't seem to be many on the flight.

I think it’s all to do with the branding.. hence I don’t think it’s stupid. Aircraft names are literally global… not just Bonza. As for your later comments, who knows man… I hope not.. I really hope they can compete on a bigger scale. Cheers for your opinion! 👊

REX is largely Singapore owned, consortium of Singapore based businessmen (Lim Kim the largest of those shareholders) and private equity firm PAG (who are funding the Jet operation of REX).
