That particular Kuwait 777 paid me a visit in Ottawa in Jan 2018 when it diverted due to JFK being closed, it then departed YOW for JFK and was involved in a ground collision with a China Southern 777 resulting in it being grounded for a few months, glad to see it back in action!
Hi Dennis, I found your channel through Jeb Brooks and have to say I like what I see and I subbed :). If you don’t mind, I would like to ask if you would be able to fly a specific route and class. I would like to see FRA-AUS on Lufthansa’s business class. This route starts early May and for many Austinites we are beyond excited to see the arrival of a second legacy international to Austin. No one flying in and out of Austin really films much to my dismay and to get your wonderful sense of humor and honest opinion on the service would be lovely! No specific plans at the moment but will keep it in mind. 95% of my trips are work related so that does limit me a bit however I'll see if I can route through Austin on one of trips to the States next year. cheers D
Another great video and a good point raised about advance seating ( or lack of). This, and the inability to check-in online on a code share flight, are the biggest two gripes I get from my corporate clients. Thanks for taking us along.
Nailed it again Dennis...I look at Skytrax most days and Etihad cops a lot due to cost cutting...they had another shocking year financially and many talk about how they are cutting costs across all sections of their service. I have flown with them about 6 times in both Business and First and have always found them to be excellent! Great flight DB....looking forward to your next one!!
I took a flight with Qatar last October from MAN-BKK via DOH and ended up missing the connecting flight as Qatar were delayed departing MAN, however, this meant that Qatar ended up putting an additional flight to BKK so I ended up having the privilege to travel I one of their Q Suites and so far this is the best J class cabin I have had the privilege of travelling in so far. Had I of made the original connection it would have just been their normal J cabin which is still extremely comfortable and arguably in my opinion one of the best in the skies thus far. Albeit, I have yet to sample SQ and CX premium cabins which I am sure will closely rival if not supercede Qatar. Perhaps Mr Bunnik will be able to offer his expertise on this subject?
Thanks for posting another quality video Dennis. I`ve read a good deal of criticism of Etihad since they began cutting costs, but your review demonstrates that they can still deliver an excellent product with style.

I think Etihad only cares about the glitz and the glam at the pointy end of the plane. Their economy class seats are far too cramped. Not my Middle Eastern carrier of choice.
Dennis great video, been checking out your videos and have subscribed, but wanted to ask you stated usually this flight is on a A320 but this one was on a 787. Did you know this specific flight was on the 787 or was it just luck? Sorry if its a dumb question
i do like the 787-10 aircrafts, only flown them once so far on SIA, haven't done etihad yet. I have Perth to Singapore on SIA 787-10 again in business class next month looking forward to my second outing. SIA was great the first time.
What a great video. I love Etihad and Emirates, and always choose one for flights from Australia to Europe. Just wondering if Etihad crew disengage the window dimmers on the 787-10? Thai do it on their overnight Bangkok-Brisbane flights and it's quite annoying.
Great product it seems! One question though; I noticed you had a lot more close-ups than other videos, and we didn’t see almost any flight attendant interaction. I’ve seen in other videos how some Etihad FA’s are not keen to filming onboard. Did you have any issues at all with them? Cheers! Big fan here from Singapore!
Hi I always ask the flight attendants if they are happy to be filmed - in both recent Etihad flights they preferred not to be which was fine. They were all still very friendly and engaging.
I recently flew the A380 LHR to AHU and B787-9 MEL to AHU with Etihad. Brilliant food and excellent service on both flights. I rate the A380 higher due to the extra storage space but they're both A+ experiences.
I was starting to get withdrawal symptoms when I saw this. Liked the "cloud juice" reference. I thnik that's what we used to call "council pop". Another great review.
Just last week i have used etihad business class 787 9 from Hyderabad to abudhabi. It is exactly the same and i got 7k window seat. Seats are very comfortable and you can only enjoy it fully if it is a long haul flight. Unfortunately for me it is hardly 4 hrs and this product is far better than emirates 777 300 ER
Great report as usual Dennis. If you ever get the chance,try Oman Air Business Class 787 Dreamliner, you will be pleasantly surprised and yes they do provide pj's :)
yes would love to fly them. Doing my first KLM long haul business class in July - the 747 to Chicago. Really looking forward to seeing what they are like.
