This is a precision ruler. The big & small squares are cut to perfection, then sewed together, and produce the desired block. Only problem is imperfect people sewing these squares together imperectly, so none are exactly the same and/or squared up. I've switched to rulers that cut "over sized" pieces, sewed together, then squared up for blocks all the same. Better results happen for the final product.

I am thinking about this ruler. This is the way Quilt in a Day shows us how to make the flying geese without this ruler. I wanted to see the ruler used before purchasing. I was disappointed there wasn’t a guide on the ruler to square the geese up and trim the dog ears. They must be trimmed before sewing them together. All in all it appears a ruler worth owning.
