If you're feeling uncomfortable, you could just leave the helicopter on ground idle and leave the rotors spinning. Scare a good portion of thieves away
I mean how many petty criminals know how to fly a helicopter? I can't imagine most would want to risk stealing it knowing they will probably crash and die.

I just admire how easy and comfortable civil aviation is in America. If you landed a helicopter in my city every goddamn emergency service would’ve reached there thinking someone crashed
I don't know where this person lives at in America but it can't be a major city. If you land a helicopter outside of the airport you will definitely be surrounded by police and fire in a few minutes.
Exactly my thought when clicking on the video :)) Aaand that was the reason i started flying a paramotor. I guess this is my sign to get into flying choppers. :))
The fact that this was a randomly suggested video, and then I immediately recognized the area because I grew up like 2 miles from that McDonald's... What are the odds? haha Awesome stuff man. I live in KC now and I've never even seen my old hometown from the air yet, so this was super cool for me.
Literally same experience. Went to FZE and Hawthorn right down the street. Hell I'm all the way across the country in NYC now but it took me like two seconds to recognize this.
Craziest thing for me too. It seemed familiar and then seeing Menard's confirmed it. I still live in the area and I do believe I have seen this aircraft around. And I don't have video of this BUT - many many years ago I used to fly with a radio/TV traffic reporter anytime he had a free seat. The reports were sponsored by Hardee's and it was very common that we would call in an order for breakfast, land in an adjacent field, grab the order from the window, and take off. One of the locations was the one about a mile down Mexico Rd to the west.
Your videos came as a RU-vid suggestion, I’m glad they did. Watching your videos is bringing back a lot of my very fond memories of the Robinson R22. I’ve been flying for 27 years but the R22 still has a special place in my heart. Thank you, keep up the good work!
@@caglarkarademir If flying a helicopter is destroying nature, then by that logic even human evolution is destructive to nature because our evolution led to large-scale urbanization which permanently altered the ecosystem of our planet. If Americans are guilty of destroying nature, then others are not that far behind them.
This is amazing! and I have a question when you fly a privately owned helicopter are you allowed to land it anywhere as long as it's away from people and danger or do you have to get special permission to land in certain areas?

Hey Matt, happy new Year. Great to see you are going viral on YT. Was awesome flying with you last year. Flying Long Rangers and 407s now, tours charters and organ transports. Robbie time's over lol.
Smooth flying there sir, considering how squirrely the R22 is reputed to be. I'm guessing that power lines top the list of things you scan for as you land in fields like that. At heart, we drone pilots wish we could also be up there in the blue yonder, just as you do daily.
@@ricardodelacrvz1400If you mastered the car, then you'll have no idea of how to fly this. It's difficult, yes, mainly because it's flying and you don't have grip to the ground, a helicopter basically slides through the air. And it probably is expensive, upwards of 60k for sure, but some cars are just as expensive.
Wow that's cool! In Poland you must have headphones and a permission from the control tower to be able to fly somewhere and you cannot land just like that. Many places charge you with little fee and if you fly over a airport and touch the ground, you will be fined with over 1000PLN. So basically you are free to fly where you want, but you must submit your "ride" and get a permission.
@realsunsetaviation 5:53 Ahhh, you're right...but that didn't detract for me at all cuz it was still fairly leisurely footage at that speed given the altitude. Not like things are whipping by too fast. You can always play it at a slower speed if it bothers you.
@@mattylp8 Don't get it twisted because of this comment. Only because this one comment has 150+ likes and people agree with him, doesn't mean that the majority of the viewers want to see the whole flight. I just found your channel, and man, you’re living many people’s childhood dream here. I think you’d make any child’s day just by landing nearby them and waving haha
From Tucker Gott's flying a paramotor to McDonald's to this... Now I'm wating for the ultimate evolution of this: "landing my Airbus to go get MCDonald's" :D

Creating wealth and financial freedom isn't as tough as many people believe. Building wealth and remaining financially stable indefinitely is a lot easier with the appropriate information. Participating in financial programs and products is the only true approach to make a high income and remain affluent indefinitely...
It is always good to have a financial plan. I work with a professional planner and fixed-income strategist in NY. The fixed income portion of your portfolio won't simply serve as a buffer to the volatility of the equity portion of your portfolio, but will provide legitimate income.
I couldn't agree more. Taking charge of your life and putting in the hard work is the path to success. Having a portfolio manager like Mr. Samuel Peter Descovich is a game-changer. Their expertise and guidance can truly transform your financial journey. Making $35,000 in profits each month and saving 70% of that is quite impressive! They save you time and provide valuable insights that lead to impressive profits. Keep up the amazing work, and enjoy the fruits of your labor..
I've shuffled through a few experts in the past, but settled with SAMUEL PETER DESCOVICH. The strategy he use is recession-proof, more specifically profit-oriented , and most likely, you'd find his basic info on the net, he's a renowned advisor.
Found his website easily. It was like the first thing that came up when I searched his name. I'll surely touch basis with him to see what the best step is for me to take right now. THANK YOU!!!
It’s unfortunate most people don’t have such information, I don’t really blame people who panic cos lack of information can be a big hurdle. I’ve been making more than $65k passively investing with Samuel Peter Descovich, and I don’t have to do much work. It doesn’t matter if the market is crashing, I will always make good profit returns.

I live in Marine City Michigan right by airport and go up for fun rides in Cessena planes quite a bit. I would love to go for a ride in your helicopter!!!! I've never been in a helicopter.
It's not quite enough helicopter for me without doors and having a glass floor. Wish I didn't get such bad vertigo because I bet it's a blast. I've only been on a few tourist trips in helicopters over the last few years but they are my favourite way to move around by far.
Never thought you could just land these things anywhere. Man I need to get my pilots license! Got a big heart for aviation. I've heard its hard to fly a helicopter....true or not? I'd like to fly a Cessna or anything along that line.
7-12 hours is average to learn how to hover one. It’s just practice. They’re expensive though; three times the price of fixed wing training for that R22.

I only ask because people from other countries seem really surprised at how relatively unrestrictive the U.S. is when it comes to flight regulations. But to your response…I guess you are surprised then. There aren’t rules against it made by the Federal government; as long as it is done safely it’s legal by the FAR. The city could have a code against it but he is in a generally less restrictive state legally and the pilot has said they don’t.
