Flying on the Upper Deck of Lufthansa's 747-400! - Lufthansa Business Class Review!

Today we'll be flying upstairs in the hump on one of the remaining passenger Boeing 747-400s in service! This is also the first video of a series in which I will be traveling around Europe on various European airlines (and a train at some point) and trying them out!
This is also serving as a review of Lufthansa's long haul business class as a whole and seeing how good they do with the 2 seat configuration!
This was a two segment itinerary and was booked with Lufthansa business class with a stop in FRA and the destination was somewhere else. As a whole, I paid $2168 (1998.38€) for the whole business class itinerary.

Lastly, sorry if my voice sounded scratchy during the voice overs. I am currently getting over a cold!

Awesome report man! I flew on a 747 once with Air Pacific in 2nd grade! It’s an airplane like no other. Hopefully some will eventually end up in museums and maybe fly for special events kinda like the DC3s.

Just flew FRA-IAH Upper Deck, 82A & C. Absolute worst service from the Staff...who were decidedly unhappy to serve anything to we mere mortals (who paid full price to sit there). Business class seating is very outdated...very. I cannot imagine flying as a single. One must reset their seat each time the window seat partner wishes to go to the washroom. The seat controls are dodgy, not responsive. Did I mention they failed to load our baggage (which was tagged "Priority") on our flight ? Then left us hanging with zero information . Bottom line ...retire the 747...and all the unhappy crew.

Yeah the 2-2 configuration did feel dated and I wish they weren’t asking as much as they were. This flight wasn’t even that long either and they still were. The crew could have been better in the sense that the captain and f/o could have been more chatty towards someone like me.

No privacy and forced to look at the neighbor's feet. Knowing lagging behind in updating business class seat, Lufthansa had announced their refurbishing plan in 2017. Nothing has been done since then! As far as I am concerned, Lufthansa business class is the last choice until they complete updating the cabin for all intercontinental flights.
