This video is all about flying out of the Ciudad Juárez International Airport if you live in El Paso Texas. Leah and I recently took a trip to Mérida, Mexico, and decided to save some time and money by flying out of the airport in Juárez.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Don't forget to get your Traveler Permit at the bridge or at the airport. If you fail to do so, you will have to pay a 638 peso fine when you leave the Juarez airport.

Traveler Tip: There is a binational bus called Transborde. It’s really convenient and will take you from EP airport to downtown EP and cross into Juarez airport 🙂

@9tsan1

If you happen to arrive at the time to catch the bus within minutes otherwise it is not time efficient. It is around the same price to Uber from El Paso international to the port of entry walk across the border and then get an Uber on the Juarez side to Juarez airport. Pro tip: request your uber right around half way across the bridge and your Uber will be there waiting by the time you walk across.
@9tsan1
@9tsan1 2 года назад
Also, the downtown port of entry in El Paso is the furthest away from the Juarez airport. Cordova or better known as Puente Libre and the Zaragoza port of entry are your best bet to get across quicker if you’re in a time constraint.

I found Transborde website and called them but the person who answered does not speak English and I don’t speak Spanish. I want to ask questions below: -Do I need to make reservation in advance? -which station/address do I need to take the Transborde bus that will take me to Juarez airport El Paso?

One thing I didnt hear them say is the traveler permit you need to get at the bridge or at the airport..if your stay is less then 7 days its free, if its longer then 7 days its going to cost you 638 pesos, about 33 us dollars, and its good for 6 months I think, but when you return you must turn it in at the airport...mexican nationals go thru the right and non mexican nationals go thru the left to turn in the permit.

We really need to look at moving somewhere closer than Phoenix. The 12 hour drive is killing the amount of time we can spend with family. Her mom is 77 and not doing well right now. We drove(Thru Santa Theresa, NM) Crossed the border and Mexican customs in less than 30 mins.(Extremely rare!) Would love to hear your ideas as we'd like to make the move soon possibly NE or West El Paso or the Las Cruces area. Thanks!

Thank you for the information. I am planning to go to Cancun through Juarez with my family (wife and two kids). We live in Denver and will fly El Paso. The reason we choose to fly out of Juarez is no Covid test required. And the ticket is also cheaper from Juarez to Cancun. I have questions below and appreciate if anyone can provide some answer/guidance: -What is the safest mean of transportation (and not expensive) to get to Juarez airport from El Paso airport for a family with two kids? And the return trip from Juarez airport to El Paso airport? -Is FMM required? When do I fill out the FMM form and how much for each person? -I heard the Mexican immigration officer may arbitrarily decide and stamp the length of stay on the FMM form. Anyone has ever experienced given the shorter time stay period in your Mexico destination place than you hotel booking and return flight schedule? It will surely mess up mu itinerary and I will need to book another ticket back which will be costly. -is it safe to travel from Juarez airport? This should have been my first question. Thank you,
@LivingInElPasoTexas
@LivingInElPasoTexas 2 года назад
Thank you for watching! We took an Uber to the airport from the border and it was very easy and safe, you just will need phone service to be able to get the Uber which can be expensive depending on your phone plan. Someone also pointed out in the comments below that they have a Bionational bus that will take you from the El Paso Airport through to the Juarez airport. I haven't done a lot of research on that but it could be worth it to check that out as well! And yes, you would need the Travelers Permit, you should be able to get it at the bridge while crossing or at the airport - We learned the hard way that they will fine you if you do not have the Permit with you.

You folks are right on the money. By all means I recommend the Cd. Juarez airport for anyone flying south from that region. For every reason you mention and one other - you do not have to deal with the retarded gropers and psychopaths known as TSA. Sure....there are appropriate security checks but the people are polite and treat you with respect. You are also correct about Mexico City airport. It is wild. Typically you will be OK if your originating and connecting airline is the same. If the two airlines are different make sure your layover in Mexico City is not tight. I will not fly out of a US airport anymore. I'll fly out of a Mexican airport in heartbeat.
