USS Enterprise NCC-1701-D is the iconic star ship of the Star Trek.
A big thanks for all nice words, hints and jokes on my first video about this model • Flying RC Model StarTr... .
As you can see in this second part video, I took your advice.
Enjoy :-)
Here you can find the directions for building the model: web.slovanet.sk...

Well done friend! Those new inertial dampeners LaForge installed worked like a charm. You are awesome! I love your sense of humor too. I LMAO at the "special effects" :).

Great flying model! Glad you got the center of gravity issues worked out. Amazing that such a faithful reproduction can actually fly in the atmosphere!

This is just so many kinds of AWESOME! The auto stabilization was brilliant and it is amazing how stable the flight is after that was added, GREAT JOB!

FANTASTIC!!! Your ingenuity is beyond compare! You need to patent and market this. Of course you will have to work with Paramount intellectual property attorneys, etc., but in the end the profit will be "beyond the dreams of Avarice"..or at least anything Quark could imagine! :-)

Many flying models of TV spaceships don't tend to look faithful to the original because of the need of adding stabilizing fins, etc. Your model, however, is as accurate as it can possibly be and it flies! Now if you could hide the motor and prop, you got it 100%. Maybe a ducted fan in the impulse section. Well done!

This is incredible! It's hard to believe that it is all homemade, it looks very professionally built. The lighting is amazing! When your Enterprise is soaring through the sky, it looks like the real thing! Excellent!

Only 62k views?! A sadly underappreciated masterpiece of engineering! For such a non-aerodynamic design the way you've near perfectly preserved the look of the ship and were still able to get it to fly so well is unlike anything I've ever seen. Well done sir!

Really nice work on this. As a non-flying model you made a great ship, the fact that it flies so well is a testament to your ingenuity and hard work. It really looks great when it makes those speedy low passes. :)

Super job. In the first video, it kept stalling out due to too much lift by the saucer section. I see you overcome that and have achieved at level flight. Phenomenal achievement.

omg ! that was so great ! it seemed to have flown smoother as it got higher in altitude - straighter vectors !and the way it looked like a ufo when it flew against the night sky or the twilight of the sun set. it made me miss the episodes of star trek tng - when it was flying around like that ! thank you for posting these videos ! i want to make one ! maybe a shuttle.

This is truly brilliant! Congratulations. I think this flying model and the Star Trek franchise generally is partly about humanity's subconscious but absolute commitment to make the dream of interstellar travel a reality someday, and to be connected to other intelligences in the universe. Your next project should be a flying model of the 'Pheonix lights' UFO, complete with LEDs of course! Magnificent!

Now had the chance to see this. Absolutely awesome. I would suggest building a much larger version which would help on hiding the fans. Then, add fans in the saucer section so you can get it to hover.

To actually see a shape like that fly is amazing. Part 1 showed how some of the flight was taken from theory to a working model. Keep going to new and better things. Who is going to take a cell phone and interesting new shape to make a computer assisted flight wonder? If you don't think there is any Star Trek in that, then where did cell phones come from?

THIS IS AWESOME!! I really like the slow level fly-byes, You did an awesome job building this and your flying skill in the 2nd video from the first.... Amazing that a homemade, and REALLY well made, flying RC model of a space ship could fly so well. NOW you have to make one the size of a car and fly that around, don't tell us you don't have the skill to easily pull this off because we all know you do ;)

Ha ha.. very nice. Good job on finding the balancing problem. I was going to say also that it appears as though the fact that the main point of thrust is too far aft and really needs to be moved forward as the large saucer section seems to be creating too much lift. As you probably know, propeller driver craft have a very strong tendency to pitch the nose upwards which is one reason smaller planes have the engine in the front to help counter that tendency, but even still pilots to always counter that by trimming the elevators anytime they add power to it. There is actually a kit you can buy of this on Ebay which has a mostly front motor design, though it's about 1/4 way into the saucer section. It doesn't look as good at yours by a long shot, but it does fly pretty well. There is video of it on RU-vid as well. Still, Its far more fun and rewarding to build your own from scratch. This looks fantastic and you got it flying very well I see, so really a Great job overall. It's also FAR more fun to watch than most of the other RC planes I see on here. Most of the time I skip those to the take off and landings, but this I watched all the way through a few times. Also it's great how it soft lands very nicely in the high grass, which is it's only drawback not having landing gear, but it greatly protects it from damaging or destroying all your countless hours of hard work. Great job!
