The Alien is a fully moulded HLG flying wing from the team Christophe Bourdon / Anton Ovcharenko (OA composites). The idea is to propose a flying wing with wide speed range, high manoeuvrability, but still with great ability to thermal soar.
The Alien can be flown at the slope or on a flat field with discuss launch. It can be ballasted to fly in higher wind, especially at the slope, and can be even used to do some light dynamic soaring.
Specifications are the following:
- Wing span: 1.20 m
- Wing area: 17.1 dm2
- Length: 62 cm
- Flying weight from: 240 g
- Wing loading: 14 g/dm
- Aspect ratio: 8.4
- Wing airfoil: 6% proprietary
- Dihedral: 2.5º
- Centre of Gravity: 29.5-30.5 mm from wing leading edge
- Controls: Elevons, rudder (3 servos)
