FLYING THE BRAND NEW ARCUS | Flying Simon 

First thing I tought after flying it was "I don't need a house right?! I'll just live in a trailer an buy one of these!"

I am one of the few hundred people in the world is likewise extremely excited about the Arcus, but not as excited as I am about our very own Revelation being produced here in sunny South Africa Great video as always

Der Arcus ist der Schreck der alten offenen Klasse geworden. Selbst bei schlechtem Wetter, 5m mehr Spannweite und einer Gleitzahl von 1:59 hatte ich zu oft das Nachsehen.

You say that it is a bit different to fly but you do not say in what way? My Arcus M is great but there a couple of minor things which could be better. For me the worst aspect of flying my Arcus is the trim mechanism which needs a strong push. I don't know if mine is wrong but the UK agent says it is normal. Is that different in the new model? Maximum forward trim is 107 knots according to the manual - this is very annoying if you want to fly faster. I would like to see what the new Ilec shows - with the previous version if you want to see fuel and temp you have to keep looking, it would be much better to be able to see more information on a single screen. Is there any change to the propeller retraction system? I saw the V3M has a propeller stop which I think would be better than the Arcus system - does the new Arcus have that? In my Arcus if you have to use the manual propeller brake you need at least 3 hands - it is a terrible system.
