Flying The BRAND NEW QANTAS A220 

Awesome trip report mate. I had my first A220 trip Canberra to Melbourne a few weeks ago. This new plane surpasses my expectation in all respects.

Thanks for your video! I've unfortunately never flown on the CSeries before, but I'd love to experience it at some point. I've been fascinated with this aircraft since Bombardier announced the CSeries all those years ago. I'm not normally a fan of narrowbody aircraft, but I make an exception for this one. Bombardier's engineers have done a terrific job in getting this aircraft launched and successfully in service. I hope QF brings it to Perth some time. I want to experience it on a longer journey. CBR-MEL is too short.

I had my first A220 today, CBR-MEL. I absolutely loved it, fantastic aircraft to fly on, soooo quiet, and the crew were brilliant too. As sad as I am to see the 717 retiring, I’m so happy we have these A220s to take their place.

Fantastic new aircraft and fantastic customer service from Qantas. Qantas knows it had shortcomings the last few years but I believe they are serious in wanting to improve. I can't wait for Qantas to deploy the A220 on the Adelaide - Canberra and Adelaide - Brisbane routes.

Fantastic! Good to have a crew that's not afraid of a bit of filming.

Great review, Qantas made some smart choices in fleet investment just before it was too late. Helps having a monopoly though too....

I need to get myself on the A220... CBR is funny, the QFC gets a better view than the business lounge! I've only been to the other lounge though.

Im sad to see the 717s go but seems we have an excellent replacement cant wait to see more of these a220s!

ahhh, such a good looking plane, and great flight review! The new economy class better be good as it needs to be comfortable enough for the project sunrise flights when the a350's arrive. but anyways great video so far!! oh and how could i forget, FIRST!!

Love the A220 too myself.... or all Airbus planes for that matter🙂. So far i know all A220s are made in Canada 😉

There are 3 QANTAS lounges n Canberra You forgot the Chairman’s lounge. The Canberra lounge is great. Staff are very attentive.
