I am not sure why your channel isn’t more popular (sorry), but this has been fantastic! Looking forward to more. Cheers from Texas.

Thanks, MrShado. I don't really market it anywhere, and I suppose that's not doing me any favours! I want to visit Franklin's, one day. I know Texas has more to offer than just that, but my stomach is a powerful master!

Just in time for a nice relaxed Sunday evening listening! Excellent Steve. Just made me take your book Red Eagles back from my shelf to re-read it in the next weeks...More 117 test driver interviews would be great. Or with Gaillard Peck or John S. Beesley...Keep it coming.

Thank you, sir! I have a U-2 interview coming next - already taped and just needs to put through the edit process, and then I will do a Constant Peg interview. I have some footage that has never been published before, and I need to work out what to do with it. 1. Do a 'Red Eagles react to Constant Peg footage' video, which might be a bit cheesy. 2. Do a narrated video where I tell the story of the program while the footage rolls in the background. Or 3. Interview a Red Eagle and play the footage in the background. What do you think? I'd definitely interview Evil Peck again, assuming he'd let me. And I would love to interview Beesely (and Tom Morgenfeld - again!). All good ideas. Thanks for the note :)

@@10percenttrue Wow! Personally I am leaning towards your suggestion no. 2 to give the footage full attention and understanding. But no matter how you will present it, I can't wait to see it. With all the attention TTR is getting lately (fly-by pics, apron/runway upgrades), new footage from the past would fit in nicely. The more of those test drivers you can interview, the more of this intriguing glimpse into US military aircraft test and evaluation history can be preserved. And to me, it is always stunning to hear about how daily professional and private life worked out in these very restricted, secure and compartmentalized environments in very remote locations.

Another great interview. I like the unscripted feel where you ask questions about an interesting anecdote and let him tell his story. Again a truly interesting pilot to listen to. Cheers from Australia

Excellent wrap up to a fascinating series. What a truly unique career Mr. Topham has had, and a truly interesting career post-retirement. These interviews are great, Steve, looking forward to what you have coming up, too.

Really top-drawer trilogy! I was 'fixed' throughout. What a great learning, for me. so laid-back, too; and better for it. Thank you both very much indeed, I really appreciate your channel; long may it continue.

At 3:10, it makes me curious to know what this "something else" was lol. I guess we will never know unless it is declassified but it makes you wonder what kind of other assets the DOD have in their back pocket. Anyways jt was a great serie of videos and a great guest ! I really enjoyed :)

What is also interesting is that he had no idea what it was, even though he was stationed at the same remote base - you would have expected that he would have been seeing aircrew and maintainers from another unit that he didn't recognise...

@@10percenttrue absolutely! It shows that every program is very isolated and unless you're directly involved with it, you don't have the "need to know". It gives a bit of mystery and it makes curious about how many black aircraft fly or flew before. But since they're doing they're job well, we don't hear or see any unless one crash or get declassified lol. Anyways I really love the show ! 🤙
