Nice for the engineers to get a mention. Good bloke! To be fair, all our officer aircrew were good, always chipping in with some of the less fun jobs. That's the sort of thing we really appreciated.

I use to be a fighter joke lover.. but this kind of staff, this pilots, were ther as welll. I would wish to have a 1000 lives to fly in those different aerial combat escenarios.. as always, thanks for this.. I appreciate it all.

Was there at KKMC as helicopter force protection. Saw the Sea Kings daily and a number of Chinooks

I must confess that by the end, I'd lost the thread on whether the sand filter should have been on or off in the rain. Otherwise wonderful to listen to.

We kept the sand filter on the whole time. We did a number of engine changes where it had to be removed. Other than that though, always on. We had a full set of covers, we put most of them on to protect the cab. There was obviously no need to fold the aircraft blades so that never got done either - would've been a nightmare if it had broken!
