Definitely a great drone Steve. I was going to buy one a few years ago, but I had a personal problem that made me think twice about getting it. Even though it's expensive, I think it's worth it. I like to fly all year if I can, but things happen to us that we can't control. Thanks for sharing Steve. 👍👍👍

Very cool drone. That sea of snow is something else too. I've seen that in movies I guess (and video games) but to see it on a vid like this is the next best thing to being there. I've barely seen any snow in my life.

Snow makes everything look new and clean. It is also fun to snowmobile on, ski on, snowboard on, slide on, add water and skate on it.

Amazing lift capacity - Love the fact it can float and wish waterproofing was a feature on more drones, not that I want it to go in the drink but I always get nervous when flying mine near water. I'd like at least a fighting chance of getting it back that doesnt involve scuba gear

At 3:24 you discuss using a USB type charger to revive a dead battery "brick". I connected my brick to an apple charger and one green LED battery light began flashing. I let it charge for about 10 minutes. I then disconnected the USB cable, connected the battery charging device, and attempted to turn on the battery. The battery did not turn on so it could not charge. Do you leave the USB cable and the battery charging device connected at the same time? Any recommendations? Thanks

Keep trying and it will work. Make sure you power on/off the battery when connected to the charger so it goes into charge mode.

I remember when that drone came out that had a hot woman in some bathing suit on boats when it was still in development. Don't rember that badging. They were pricey. You say you have to discharge your batteries since you didn’t get the plane. Is this a good practice for longevity? How and how often do you do it even if you’re using it weekly? I’m planning on getting one for fishing soon!🙏🥰

Yes, you can double the life of your batteries if you drop them to half voltage or 40% when not in use for a few weeks or longer.

Is there a way that you can get a HDMI out to feed into a camera switcher? Would it just depend on which display device you used? For DJI the Crystal sky monitor has an HDMI out. I am looking for the same thing for the splash drone before I buy it.

Hi, can I ask why my SD4 flies at 20 meters high, but on the remote control it only shows 5 meters high, what could be the problem? Maybe some calibration should be redone?

Are you seeing a difference between the remote and the App? They both receive the same info so they should read the same. No sure why they are different unless of course one is in metric and the other in imperial.

@@CAPTAINDRONE798 Let me explain better, on my SD4 I don't have the camera but only the payload, now when I fly my SD4 at 15-20 meters high on the small screen of the remote control it tells me 3 meters instead of the real ones..

Great video steve, i have a SD4 and with a release hook as well, mine works great in the water in the snow and the waypoint mission work very well too in the app. I also have the fish finder they came out with last year great little gizmo. You are right steve this drone is for a specific purpose and filming kids family etc get a dji mini drone.

Go and fly it in NORMAL mode and it will fly just like a BEGINNER DJI Mini and DJI Mavic. It will have no issue with the snow.

For search and rescue type purposes, is there anyway in the software to tag a location? In otherwords, could you fly over something, look down, and then have it save the exact coordinates? Edit: Purpose might be to allow rescuers on foot to get to someone exactly, but also to have the drone be able to fly a mission back and maybe take a basic first aid kit, or bottle of water. I imagine a hiker who is injured type scenario.

Enterprise drones such as the Mavic 3 Enterprise have the ability to touch anywhere on the controller display (not just when the camera is aimed directly downward) and have the approximate lat/long computed.

Too many people, who were not boaters, bought this drone with the assumption it was a DJI comparable drone. Everyone one of them were disappointed. Those who purchased it for boating and at the lake fisher, seemed very happy.

Thank You! And I went out and spent a lot of money on three new batteries when the other three batteries turned into bricks after 6 months of no flying. With the information, you just gave me about plugging a USB cable into the top of the battery now I have a total of 6 batteries for my Splash Drone 4. Thank You So Much!

The splashdrone 4 looks geat. Thanks for the video. Quick question, how did splashdrone 4 compare to spry+? I am guessing splashdrone 4 is much newer since the last spry+ review was 2 years ago and the splashdrone one is 3 months old.

SPRY+ does not have a very good camera compared to the camera on the SPLASHDRONE 4. Also the SPRY+ could not lift anything heavy.

Probably because it is a one of a kind consumer drone (as noted in the video) that only a consumer with a specific purpose would buy it. People who wish to film the kids, are better off with a little DJI Mini drone.

@@divingfalconfpv4602 The CUTA BOSS+ is worth every cent. Splash drone is the biggest rip off gimmick I've ever followed the progress on. Sadly, The inexperienced new pilots are being sucked in with its claims. The fly away percentage is absolutely nuts. It is not a Pro Drone by any means. There are better hobby grade quads out there for a small fraction of the price. Take care.
