Hi Kevin and Jamie! Thanks for the shout out and support of the Premier. It is a great plane and I'm looking forward to getting you both in it this Summer. But be careful, jet fever is a real thing and there is only one cure...and that is to buy a jet!
Howdy Greg! Hope you're enjoying the warmth down south. It's been brutal in the midwest this winter. It'll be fun swapping rides whenever it works out. :)
@@310Pilot That will be a great episode! You guys can do a swap where P1D does one leg on his channel, and you guys do the other leg on yours. All us desk flyers live vicariously through you guys and we appreciate all the content. New up and comer, Runway Ryan has a good Tuber-channel. The flights with his wife are pretty funny especially the one where he puts her in the left seat. Check it out...Thanks as always Kevin!
Jamie is so dawg gone cute. Besides everything else so impressive about her, this Vol fan appreciates her nod to the big orange. Can’t wait to see part two of your trip to Gatlinburg.
I am back have not had internet for over a year. We live on farm in Appomattox County VA. We now have fiber with 1gig up and down, that said I AM now enjoying your videos again. Your stabilizer camera is working great!
Now you are in my neck of the woods. I am only about 40 minutes from Gatlinburg. Wish I had seen this sooner. Would loved to have stopped by and said hello. Love your videos. I go to Pigeon Forge (have season passes to Dollywood) and Gatlinburg quite a bit. Love that area. Warmer weather....lol we were in the 60s a few days ago. Won't see that again until next week.
Guess I’m a 310 Pilot geek now. 😂 Maybe that isn’t true until I buy some merch. Found myself pretty excited when I saw a new video notification yesterday. I have followed all the trips that have multiple stops with videos as well as all the others. This is now my favorite thing to watch and that includes regular TV. 😁 Love all the videos and I know y’all will keep em comin. 👍
My family used to vacation at a time share condo in Gatlinburg every June for about 12 years growing up. Awesome place. Love the tail cam. Keep up the great content!
My dad flew a 172 and a 310. Grew up in a rural midwest community living at the airport. Since then I have been disconnected with flying. Thanks for reconnecting me with some great memories and inspiring me to start the process of getting my license. And thanks for the great content also!
You do a great job. Been watching for quite awhile. My favorite channel. Grounded myself and sold the plane (North American NAvion) because of age But this is how I fly now...with you guys. Thanks.
Check with Bryan (with a Y) Turner at Just Plane Silly. He'll fix you up with your multi engine rating and sign off on your 310 check out. Heh, heh, heh....
That was pretty cool when you showed Louisville KY. I lived there for about 15 yrs until I moved to Fayetteville NC. I have been to the Smokies several times. Love just driving though Cades Cove and seeing the wild life and the old homes that are there.
Tail cam view is absolutely brilliant. Nice and steady too. Nice talk-through on instrumentation by Jamie too. Very interesting. Great vlog as always guys. Keep up the good work.
Welcome to East Tennessee. As a Cirrus SF-50 owner, you should stop by Cirrus while you are here and check out the place. They have a very capable single pilot jet that is a joy to fly. Enjoy your visit to the mountains.
The rental car situation in Gatlinburg/Seiverville ,Pigeon Forge is why if we fly we usually go into McGhee Tyson, there is a rental car counter at Tac Air and they have good rates. Knoxville downtown Island airport is a great place to fly into but the local Enterprise dealer likes to slap you with drop off and pickup charges which add up quick. The folks at the Enterprise car rental in Seiverville are very friendly and accommodating its just we usually come in on the weekends and they are closed. About spit my coffee out when you made the statement Gatlinburg is kind of a touristy town! Tourism is what the whole area is all about. We have a time share at the Westgate Smoky mountains Resort and are over that way usually several times a year. Love the area. Ya'll definitely need to get over to Ashville, NC and check out the Biltmore Estate if you haven't done so already. I think the best time to visit is a Christmas as they really go all out with the decorations.
Welcome to Sevierville, TN. Spent three days In Gatlinburg at Christmas time. Saw a pic of your mom and dad in the Connection this week. Playing pickle ball. Nice tail video on takeoff. Stay safe.
I was flying back home from South Bend to Indy and heard Grissom acknowledge you but you were too far away to hear your radio. I thought hey that's Kevin and Jamie from 310 pilot. When Grissom handed you off to Indianapolis I was close enough to hear Jamie check on, I almost gave you ""a shout out" on the comm but didn't. It did put a big smile on my face actually hearing Jamie on the radio and thinking " I know them, I really enjoy their channel. " Maybe next time if we're in the same airspace I might say hi. Love the videos!
Hi Guys, I am one of those non-pilot people that love your videos and like to learn what you are doing as I watch. Greatly appreciate the tour of the electronics and it all does. 👍✈ Thanks, Ed
Tail mounted cam is a great addition to the video. Hope y’all get through the harsh winter okay. Always look forward to the next video. A video without Jamie is a day without sunshine. Be Well
I'd like to see the rest of the flight because you probably flew right over my house in Harriman, Tn. Great video as always! Thanks for sharing, Kevin.
Welcome as we are from and live in Sevier County about 15 minutes from Gatlinburg. We have a massive amount of tourists year around and with many places around the country shut down due to COVID and we are not tourism is way up. My wife and I took this past week off for our anniversary week and went to Gatlinburg a couple days and man was it crowded. Hope you had a blast and look forward to your video of it.
I’m from Scotland 🏴. Non pilot but aviation enthusiast. Stayed in a cabin above Gatlinburg in 2016 for some hiking in the Smokies. Sadly the cabin burnt down in the 2016 fires. A great holiday meeting up with friends from Pittsburgh
Gatlinburg is a special place. We go down there every summer from Baltimore. The only complaint is that Gatlinburg is always crowded these days. Thanks for sharing.
Nice Caddy. AWD I assume. I like that size. As we purchased a new home 20 years ago and it has a real small garage. So we need a shorter SUV. How do you like it? My wife's Encore lease will be up in about a year and I get to do all the research as I sold GM vehicles for 37 years. LOL She says you sold them, you get to do all the leg work. LOL My son is an engineer with GM so we want to take advantage of his "discount". Mary like the looks of the Caddy's and living in Western Michigan( lake effect snow) we need AWD, as our drive is an incline!. Always enjoy your videos.
Welcome to East Tennessee! Based just down the road from kgkt @ the 3500 ft island airport @ kdkx. Hope you enjoyed Gatlinburg and the mountains! Ktys controllers are great, shout out!
Loving that position on the tail cam. Too bad it isn't staying connected for you. Hope you get it worked out. Gatlinberg is a great destination. Only been there once but sure would be ready to go again.
Kevin and Jamie, Great job on the video. Kevin you may want to mark it on a calendar. You won an argument. It is most defiantly Jonny Cash. 😂😂. My wife and I are planning a trip in the fall to Jamie's home state. Unfortunately we will not be taking our plane. Little too far from UP Michigan in a Piper Archer for me right now. Have a great weekend guys.
Love the tail cam guys, and she's stable! Yeah, been wondering if those cameras were aerodynamic at all... you answered my question. On how many songs that Jaime sings in that video (which I watched) if I can remember correctly I think it was in the mid 20s. And finally, back in the latter 90s when I worked for Raytheon Aircraft Services of Tampa, the Raytheon Premier made its first introduction to the air. What makes that small jet so special is that the whole plane is made of composite which is very strong and very light. I clearly remember the day I towed my first Premier with my tug into staging, it was completely loaded with fuel. Just before I towed that airplane I towed a Leer-35 to staging, empty. The Premier loaded was lighter than the Leer empty, I could feel it with my tug!!! Looking forward to the next vid guys!
One thing the tail cam taught me is that your boarding step retracts with the gear. I have not seen that with other retracts. Nice feature to reduce drag. Hope you had a good time in TN. Thanks for sharing.
Really dig your videos and the tail cam is a nice addition. Suggest maybe summarizing flight times, speed and fuel used fur us stat nerds. Maybe you've done that before and I've missed it. Just a thought. Carry on.
We were in Gatlinburg the week after Christmas. It was as crowded as I've ever seen it. We were staying about an hour away. We didn't even get out of the car. No place to park. It was a zoo.
As always, a great trip with you both. Camera work was really good. Jamie you work the Radios so well. I'm sure it has helped a lot of Pilots improve on their ATC communications. Thanks!
