I flew to my old house in Ireland in Flight Simulator 2020 My COFFEE ☕: topofthemornincoffee.com/ Twitter ?: / jacksepticeye Instagram ?: / jacksepticeye Edited By: / @aliceandchill
@@mitri5389 Yeah. But folklore and legends are more entertaining overall. That's what has driven recent studies about the super tall waves crashing the planes. Also, it was not the number of wreckage compared to other places but the fact none of them were found afterward for 100 years.
If I heard my pilot say that, I would be paranoid throughout the entire flight! Because some pilots aren't actually smart. Because you don't even have to have a college degree to fly a plane..
Rover having a college degree doesn’t really make you a worse pilot. You still need to go through at least hundreds of hours of learning how to fly and have some experience in flight before you can fly a commercial airplane.
Jokes aside, the pure joy and nostalgia Jack showed when he was flying around his old town was so wholesome, pointing out significant landmarks where he must have had so much memories on as he went.
"I have no idea how fast I'm supposed to go, I just finished training!" And "Where is my co pilot?" Are also what people don't want to hear the pilot say.
The second I saw Jack's old apartment I thought "hmm that looks familiar" then I realised I used to live like a short walk from him in my childhood house
"Any landing you can walk away from, is a good landing, and if you can use the plane the next day, it's an outstanding landing" Jack : "Those are awful standards to have when flying a plane" Fun fact, this IS what they tell you when in training.
FuckYouGoogle I think this “game” is meant to be more of a tool than anything else, so destruction animations aren’t exactly needed. But i will agree it would be great to see some destructible planes get torn apart
_"Do you think that's what they do, in planes these days? They just have an XBox Controller in there?"_ I'm not sure about planes, but I do know a certain submarine that had one.
I showed this to my dad (a pilot) and he started saying stuff like "The flaps in this aren't accurate, you need them at a 45° angle turning decent" "he should've looped around otherwise that's a dangerous landing" "he made good time to that airport" and my favourite "YES, GOOD LANDING BUDDY!". Long story short you impressed a pilot of over 28 years, and he subscribed.
@@pizza_parker9689 dunno, I'm just roughly marking what he said, I may be the daughter if a pilot but I sure as hell have no bloody clue what he says 🤣😂
Flaring means that you got to float right above the runway to make the landing smoother, Flaps are on the wings, they're made to increase the drag but let you fly at a slower speed. Knots are made to measure the speed.
Based on the readout he was going at around Mach 0.77. Technically he wasn’t supersonic, but the flow over the wings could have gone supersonic. The problem is you get shock waves setting up on and overloading the control surfaces. Definitely bad craic.
I love how he uses Otto the Autopilot from my favorite movie “Airplane!” in the intro. As a 737 pilot, I love how much progress we made in flight simulators. He did a good job for a first timer and I can’t wait till I retire and I hear his voice on the intercom on my trip to Hawaii
I hope there’s a way to disable that. Makes it less fun. I can understand running out of fuel or crashing, but he wasn’t doing anything too crazy when it happened
If anyone was curious me being stupid I actually went back to his happy wheel episodes and found the one he used when he crashed into his house it was part 98.
ok couple things (flight student nerding out here) 1. the cessna (and other single engine planes with a clockwise rotating prop) turn left because of the left turning tendencies 2. Lough rea is next to Athlone, Lough derg is to the north east of Shannon airport, just south of portumna
i am not a pilot yet, but have played several hundred hours of flight sims, and gotten to fly and had some teaching from a real pilot or two, and so far, this has been my and their expericence to a T
Bro, my mom used to work for United Airlines as a safety director in the late 90s/early 2000s (she actually had to drive out to Pennsylvania to investigate the crash site of flight 93 after 9/11.) I got to meet a lot of awesome pilots when she worked there and they always told me the same thing: "If you can walk away from the airplane, it was a good landing. If you can use the plane again afterwards, it was a GREAT landing." I was so fucking stoked to hear her say that on here. Absolutely awesome. I also had a friend in high school who spent our whole senior year finishing his flight time to get his pilot's license. He would schedule time at the airfield to rent a little Cessna puddle jumper to fly people around to get his hours and offered me a deal to be my wingman (and for me to be his literal wingman) by saying "if you pay to for the fuel, I'll fly you around wherever you want to go." So, being 18 and newly single, I got to take a few girls out on dates flying around the fucking state like a god damned chauffeur. His instructor would go with us (just to have a spare pilot in case something crazy happened) but he was also a stunt pilot and skydiving enthusiast so we got to do some crazy shit like zero-G stalls, loops, barrel rolls, and so forth. One girl I brought with me (the third or fourth time I brought a girl with me) said she was terrified of planes so, before we took off, I told my buddy to give us a "full tour" (where you do all the stunt kinda stuff and push the plane to it's limit.) After about 30 minutes, we did a zero G stall and a loop-de-loop. The girl I had taken (who was WAY out of my league) started getting kinda scared and she grabbed onto me, pulled her head into my chest, told me to make her feel less scared, and would NOT let go of my leg. We did a couple loops, and she started laughing like a terrified maniac. About 10 minutes later as we flew around a couple enormous skyscrapers, she just started making out with me, and got to third base before we were about to land. It was one of the fucking highlights of my life.
F YES!! Just F yes! This is honestly my reaction when I saw the thumbnail and realized who is playing the game. I love that huge youtubers are starting to show off the new Microsoft Flight Simulator, because this is honestly a breakthrough in not just simulators, but video-games and just technological achievements in general. Huge thank you for making the simulator even more popular, Jack! Can't wait to see more :)
@@jacksepticeye I was a bit speechless when I realized who had replied to my comment, so a bit of a starstruck moment currently haha, but its awesome that you noticed my comment! And yes, I definitely think many people should keep an eye on this one, and even give it a try if they can, because its just simply that amazing to experience. And of course its a new way to explore places that you've always wanted to or discover brand new ones. Sorry for the longer comment, but thank you again for replying :)
@hasith mayanga As someone who works in game design I'd say it is. Collision is done as a series of primitive shapes that make up the entire collision mapping. Whilst the official terminology might be different, the concept remains the same.
10:20 You had warnings on your screen telling you that you were too low for the speed you were at. High density atmosphere plus high speed tore your aircraft apart.
It's what I always say to people when they fly with me "Don't worry, I know what I'm doing, flying is actually really easy... ... ... HOWEVER LANDING, now THAT'S the hard part, that I don't quite know how to do yet"
