My mom listened to Flyleaf all the time while I was growing up and I didn't even know it was a Christian group until a year ago

when the song ended is was sad. but then i said: again

Wow. As a Christian I had listened to this song for literal YEARS and did not realize it was a Christian song. Had to listen to it again and it makes sense if it’s from God’s perspective. That’s really neat.

Been battling depression/anxiety/PTSD/insomnia/substance abuse for 17 years now. I lost my religion and my faith in God, myself, and the world. Been clean from substances for 1.4 years now but things haven't gotten any easier (yet). But as long as I'm alive there's time for change to occur. H.O.P.E. Hold On, Pain Ends

Chills going through my body. I finally understand what this song is talking about.

"They don't have to understand you, be still Wait and know I understand you, be still, be still" That line and this song is one of the things that got me through my 8th grade year. I cried a lot that year. And this year has been one of the best ones of my life. :D I owe a lot to this song.

I love that everyone is acknowledging that this is a Christian song. I love the message.

Feeling like the weight of the world is on my shoulders. Never being okay with the sin in this world. But this song gives the solution to what you should do if you feel this way, SURRENDER TO GOD, KNOW GOD LOVES YOU, KNOW GOD UNDERSTANDS YOU, AND SEE AND BELIEVE!!!

Just now realizing the singer is meant to be god singing to a suffering soul

This song encompasses the human condition perfectly. But I also love that people view it in different ways, regardless of what the artist was feeling when writing it. It shows everyone can relate in some way.

I found this song on TV one night drunk and lost in Life, this song is a message from God and living proof that's He's always there no matter how complicated Life gets.

This song is amazing. It's just exactly what it's like to find yourself broken by sin and desperately in need of God. The lyrics seem to be written in God's perspective, which makes a lot of sense.

Found the Divergent playlist at the back of the book. "Well, I could just read the chapters the author meant these songs for..." "Nah, I'll just read it again."

I remember when I first heard this song, I was ranting at God. Each of the verses, other than the chorus, actually directly answered my questions to God. As I asked them. In real time. I had to pull over, I was crying so hard after this song was done.

For everyone that says they came here because of Divergent, I came here because of Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock. It's like the best game ever, it's the main reason for me to start listening to rock and metal.

Finally, I haven't heard this since 2013. It's still awesome.

I knew this song for a long time but just recently I really took the lyrics to my heart, and I’m a struggling Christian so everything she says I imagined God saying, come to find out not even 10 minutes ago that Flyleaf is a Christian band. Who would’ve thought? I think it’s proof God really does try to reach people through music.

Screaming at one of his children who he's desperately trying to reach. God isn't this calm wise old guy sitting on a throne, he's a father, who cries and weaps and screams for his children. Read the lyrics and see what God is saying. It's truly amazing. A fantastic song.

The part where she's says to please see and believe again reminds me of the control room when Tris tried to stop the simulations but Tobias is there defending it.( Not willingly) I remember how she had pleaded for him to see her And yes, after rereading the first book of Divergent, I'm finally giving to songs a chance! 😂

I like the song a lot, it has an energy that makes you feel good, Lacey sings great, her voice is very powerful and energetic.

I'm just curious, did anyone else ship Four and Tris as soon as Four was introduced? If I am the only one, then I'll be proud of my deductive skills, if not, then Tris and Four are a little slow in the uptake.

This song reminds me of the scenes between Tobias and Tris in chapters 38 and 39. Everytime I re read Divergent or Insurgent I have music on. The music is either Again by Flyleaf or Arise by Flyleaf as well! They are perfect songs!

The nostalgia hits hard with this one... hard to believe it's been 10 years since those days. Mainstream CCM just isn't what it was then.

You see, I was confused because I bought the book (Which is now my favorite book) after seeing the comments on a couple of Flyleaf songs, and I was confused because In my book it didn't say anything about these songs. But I do have the Hardcover, it may have only been in the paperback

This song is basically God's message to everyone.

I'm here because of the movie "silence" it has a character named kichijiro who fits this song perfectly. Kichijiro was a Japanese Christian in edo Japan. One day the Japanese government started hunting Christians, and came to his village. He was offered a chance to live if he renounced God, he took it. The rest of his family refused, and kichijiro had to watch them burn his family alive. Kichijiro was overwhelmed by guilt and makes numerous attempts to redeem himself but is to cowardly to go through with it. This leads to a downward spiral of him coming back to God and aiding fellow Christians, only to abandoned them when fear takes over. This happens again, and again, and again, till kichijiro hates himself for being so weak.
