Couldn't say it better, TRCK. I liked Kristen with Vedera and was elated to see her join Flyleaf. I will admit though; this song is one that I was terrified to hear her cover... so happy that my fears were proven wrong. Thanks for sharing this!
I love her voice.. I don't know why everyone is complaining about Lacey leaving, she needed the time to be with her baby. Kristen is giving Flyleaf a new, unique sound and I'm pumped to hear some more from her!
Missing her and hating on a great singer like Kristen just because she sounds different than Lacey are two different things. Listen to the stuff they released with Lacey on it and enjoy it, but she left and the guys decided to keep going and found a singer they wanted to work with. If certain fans don't want to be a fan anymore, great, we don't want them.
I agree with most of the comments Kristen has a very powerful voice but her voice was great on the album she made with Flyleaf Between The Stars . some of the old songs someone mentioned perfectly her voice is to smooth for the heavy rockers Lacey has that scream and higher pitch to her voice but Kristen is wonderful on this song one of my all time favorites from this band!
I've been listening to Kristen since Vedera was still Veda. She brings something new to Flyleaf which is both scary and exciting. I confess Lacey was what drew me to Flyleaf, but Kristen has shown that her voice compliments the band's sound. Corny pun intended, it is a new direction for Flyleaf. The girl can SING.
No offense to Lacey, I love her and all, but Kristen is definitely my absolute favorite out of the two. She was better in my opinion 🤷♂️🙂 It’s a shame she had to part ways with Flyleaf 😢😭
Kristen is a beautiful singer and she definitely has her own unique sound and genre. However, her very powerful pop-like voice sounds a little odd with Flyleaf's hard rock sound. Don't get me wrong, I love Kristen and I'm not saying that Lacey was better than her, it's just that Lacey's rigid and croaky voice and it mixes well with the message in Flyleaf's music. I'm glad that Lacey decided to spend time with her family and that the boys decided to continue making great and empowering music with their new lead singer Kristen :) I wish Flyleaf the best
I never said or stated that the rest of the song was crap... It's quite the opposite actually! I just like how she emphasized that specific part I mentioned! However, do you think she's awful...?
