i love her voice its a" i'm cute but on the verge of insanity " sound to it really great and fits well with loud distortion or like here with acoustic her voice is flyleaf
Theres a lot of comments about hearing her breathing, I personally love that you can hear the breathing in, it goes well with her voice. Shes raw and I love that about her, distinctive voice, and I think it goes well with the "im so thirsty" lines and the meaning of the song, with needing water and being hot in hell he will be breathing heavy ha x
While I agree with your point being a singer myself it's the struggle between breathing with your shoulders and breathing with your stomach going in and out. When you breathe with your stomach going in and out you get the better breath and you don't hear the breathing that is what people are referring to, but I think it fits them they're not supposed to be a proper way they want to Sing-a-Song that nobody has sang!
Great song. People! Don't go to hell! It's an undescribable place separated from the LORD's love, mercy, and forgiveness. We need to give, save, and spend wisely from the things that our God has given to us. Our time, resources, and our talents should be used to give back to our local community. Be a blessing to others. Forgive and have compassion to the poor and to ourselves. Remember! You give to the LORD when you do these things. Be safe. Be blessed beloved from the LORD. 😇❤️👍
close.... "Chasm is based on the New Testament parable of The Rich Man and Lazarus. In the parable, the rich man dies and goes to hell. From hell, he looks up to Heaven and sees Lazarus, a beggar who had scrounged crumbs from underneath his table, sitting next to the Jewish patriarch Abraham. The rich man begs Abraham to allow Lazarus to dip his finger in water and come down to hell to soothe his burning tongue. This is impossible because of a wide chasm between Heaven and hell. The rich man then begs Abraham to send Lazarus back to Earth to warn the rich man's brothers to follow the Law of God so that they won't end up next to him in hell. This request is also denied. Abraham responds that his brothers have the words of Moses and the prophets. If they won't believe Moses or the prophets, they won't believe Lazarus even if he returns from the dead."
So just everyone knows, there are different types of singing. I am a trained vocalist and you can hear me breathe because I inhale and sing. I am not sure how lacey sings but in order to have that much power in your voice you have have a lot of air. Lacey's lungs are tiny and she is trying to grasp enough air to sing that power. Of course you can hear her breathe.
I am a professional vocalist also, I went to professional singer college in Songville, WI. I will also tell you that I have not breathed once in 5 years. Not one time. Don't believe me? Look at my fingernails, they are blue. So please don't tell me she needs to inhale/exhale etc.
I'm a trained vocalist and with practice you can achieve a silent inhale. Your body becomes so accustomed to your ribs staying open and the breath dropping low that you don't gasp for breath between lines
@@dmarcellusall the commenter said was that Lacey WAS inhaling a lot (it's clear from the sound in the video). Yes there are people who can hold a note without taking a breath, but that's not what Lacey did in this video.
I've watched this about three times already today, and I'm still not bored with it. Her voice singing with acoustic guitar live is SO beautiful and pure.
Break up already, wake up now Walk away, take it all back now Don't be quick to lick the scab off You're spitting in His face with the rest of them Break up already, wake up now Walk away, take it all back now Don't be quick to lick the scab off You're spitting in His face with the rest of them Please, give me something I'm so thirsty, I'm so thirsty Oh please let me warn them Don't you come here Don't bring anyone here The chasm isn't fixed yet Take this water Drinking even deeper Living water The chasm isn't fixed yet Take this water Drinking even deeper Living water Please, give me something I'm so thirsty, I'm so thirsty Oh please let me warn them Don't you come here Don't bring anyone here Please, give me something I'm so thirsty, I'm so thirsty Oh please let me warn them Don't you come here Don't you bring anyone here
I first heard this on the radio recently, can't say I'm familiar w/ flyleaf, aside from the "hits" but of all I heard this one is my fav. and the acoustic version here is pretty amazing, powerful vocalist, I'm very fond of the lyrical content, and musicianship.
I was trying to record myself singing this song. But after hearing this version... Her voice haunts me. Done listening to the other videos. This is the performance I want to learn from.
I see you in the top part of my mind slashing through feeling better voice,,void it out cos your what left me feeling more and more like you,end it on the other part, screaming the empty breath away, snuf it, suffering no more
I got to meet both of them! Incredibly nice people! Jared gave me his guitar pick that he played with that night.. It was the best night ever! Me and Lacey got to disguss our love for food! (: Flyleaf rocks my socks! haha
