Flyleaf is such an inspiring band! The more i sing their songs the more i feel Jesus and God through it all! I love you God, and I love you for making such a prosperous band such as Flyleaf! Thank you.
God loves everyone, you have to chose whether you love Him or not. Its not my place nor your place to judge anyone. This is a beautiful song, & flyleaf does a beautiful job. "They will no we are Christians by our love."
When she sings "afflictions eclipsed by glory" you can somehow hear all the pain she's ever gone through- and how beautiful, how intense, was the moment when they were eclipsed by glory; the moment when she saw for the first time how He loves us. This is absolutely breathtaking.
This is by far the best version of this song I have ever heard. I feel like other artists have really cheesed this songs up, but this is seriously beautiful.
I feel so blessed right now. I've been in so much pain for the past few months and this song has made me remember where I need to turn in times like these...God loves me...me a little nobody from earth :)
@1994DylanCody I agree with you and what makes it a lot crazier is where Flyleaf is. They're rarely in the Christian market, rarely. They tour a whole lot more in the mainstream/secular market and are signed to a mainstream label. It shocks me that the world is letting a band that is soo Christ-like influence them. They have lyrics that you can't argue where they're coming from and they're successful. It amazes me how much God is using them. Their the most Christian "non-Christian" band there.
@flashbash2 hey bro, i am a fun of flyleaf.they really are passionate to God, God is just amazing of using this band to tell the good news through concerts and music. God bless
@martike96ekrem Yea flyleaf is a christian band,or well a secular band, I saw them in concert at Xtreme which is big concert that has alot of different christian bands each year(: I must say I love Flyleaf alot! If you listen to the lyrics in their songs you can find parts from the Bible and they also have many christian messages, but most people try to say its about relationships but in truth most are about Jesus Christ!(:
We often want to deny religion though due to the hypocrisy of those claiming to be Christians on a religious basis without a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, nor living for Him. Jesus himself was involved in Judaism, the religion of His people day, to call out the hypocrites to put God first in their lives over religion.
@itoddx86 JohnMark Mcmillan's song actually...DCB and Flyleaf just covered it. Listen to the original 8:00 min version, tells a very raw, passionate, story regarding the death of a friend - really puts the song in context
I LOVE YOU JESUS CHRIST I KNOW YOU HEAR ME I NOW YOU SEE ME I KNOW YOU AN READ THIS MESSAGE AND MY THOUGHTS :( I NEED YOU SO MUCH WE ALL DO PLEASE COME SOON PLEASE.... I LOVE FATHER HELP US
In the "Ummah",(Islamic community), where I go alot, these song's would be called Nasheed's, (Watch sufi nasheed-"Debu-Sarayda"), It's pretty much the same deal. The ummah even recognizes the Divine Birth of Jesus/Isa,(pbuh), and Holy Saint Mary/Maryam. And the Ascension of Isa, and his return of Judgement Day. But the ummah will argue over the Trinity! = Jesus/Isa is the chosen human prophet! God is the God!!
@flashbash2 Flyleaf believes in the simple principle of being everything to every man. You don't go to a doctor's convention to find sick people, you go to the streets, where the sick are. :)
There's a pastor on RU-vid that preaches against Flyleaf. He says that since they don't play "God pleasing" traditional gospel church music, but instead play "ungoldly, sinful rock music" that they are "a compromise to the gospel." He also says that they are "wolves in sheep's clothing" and they "aim to send multitudes of souls to hell." I say this guy has no idea of how limitless God's love is. His video is called "The Deception of CCM." I hope he will open his mind.
Jesus himself said He didn’t come to abolish the law but to fulfill it … so again we see Jesus’ directive to us is to put Him first as He is the one who saves but that is done within the body of Christ which is through the church within the context of Christianity. This doesn’t mean there are no directives on how to live but they are biblical directives so we can’t divorce biblical guidelines from how we live but our salvation is not by just adhering to those guidelines.
@Bobby072149 You may not like the term religion but Christianity is classified as a religion ... definitely to be a Christian you need to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ but you can't divorce Christianity and religion. You can't rely upon religion for salvation though, nor the works of it … salvation is solely through Jesus Christ.
I don't like how she changed Sloppy, wet kiss to a Passionate Kiss. I don't know if she was forced to, but their is nothing wrong with Sloppy, wet kiss. Unless if she changed it on the sole basis of she wanting to just change it.
Because sloppy wet kiss sounds a little perverted maybe and passionate is a more beautiful adjective. Sloppy wet kiss sounds more like porn LOL. It's a spiritual song. Makes sense to me
Captain Quagmire iseeyounoobs +Rustin Cox Sloppy wet kiss was made up by the original artist, John Mark McMillan. Look up the story behind this song, you may better understand. Passionate kiss sounds cleaner, but I totally LOVE the analogy intended by Sloppy Wet Kiss... that love truly can be messy, difficult to understand. Just some perspective. Flyleaf certainly did a great job adding another awesome cover chapter to this amazing song nonetheless!
God loves everyone, you have to chose whether you love Him or not. Its not my place nor your place to judge anyone. This is a beautiful song, & flyleaf does a beautiful job. "They will know we are Christians by our love."
