They're what got me through alot of stuff, and I didn't even know they were christian! I didn't know that their songs were about God. When I realized they were, It got me to start believing in God. I was an atheist all my life ...til last January...on the morning of my final suicide attempt. I was a Marilyn Manson-style Drag-Queen, (NYX Lipsticks were my favorite, especially in black) Who suffered from public harassment, verbal abuse, humiliation, i was mocked...all by the general public. I grew up in a judgemental legalistic abusive household. And i was on every anti-Depressant in the book. I suffered from Severe Chronic Manic depression, PTSD, Hallucinations Severe anxiety and had developmental issues in my brain. I ran out of my bedroom crying and screaming “I CANNOT live my life like this anymore, I’m gonna become a Christian” -this was the The moment when everything began to change. A couple months later on a warm Friday morning, I decided to make a BOLD decision to go to a church to get HELP, two dudes who {ACTUALLY Genuinely} cared about me began to pray for me....and I felt the depression, mental issues diminishing.... Then two days later, it was Easter Morning...I drove to the Church, NOT KNOWING what to expect....as the first Christian song “Resurrecting” by Elevation worship began to play .... I could feel the LOVE OF GOD -ROARING THROUGH MY HEART I began to Scream, 😭😭wail 😭😭😭😭and CRY 😭😭😭louder than all the insanely loud worship music, (it felt like a rock concert, where all I could feel was LOVE,😭😭😭 I Thought to myself “how can these people actually look at me without mocking me for my appearance” and WHAT THE HECK?!??! And “How can these people possible look at (ME) with such LOVE AND COMPASSION streaming like a waterfall out of their eyes!!?!??!” “Like ....Jesus LOVES me,...and he PREVENTED ALL MY SUICIDE Attempts...BECAUSE HE LOVES ME” THAT SAME MORNING, it’s called EASTER... My maker , Jesus, MY SAVIOR, WHOM I USED TO HATE, ...HEALED MY BRAIN AND MY HEART.. I’m now off every single one of those antidepressants, and am a {completely} HEALTHY INDIVIDUAL .... 🔥NO MORE Suicide , no more PTSD... NO MORE DEPRESSION... I discovered that Joy, and Happiness is WHO JESUS IS. And that without him, I could not be anything but suicidal and disabled.. Jesus LITERALLY HEALED me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!☀️🔆 ❤️JESUS. LOVES. US.❤️ 🔥JESUS. HEALS. US🔥

This is the song that finally helped me to open my heart to God for the first time in my life. I had been trying for so long and once I heard this in church i couldn't stop crying. And now years later after hiding from Him for so long again I heard Flyleaf's version on the radio and the second I heard it I knew I wouldn't be able to stop crying again lol oh how he loves

as a 30 year old man this song literally brings me to tears when I hear it, such a beautiful use of talent! If only we could sing this version in church with this passion...

Is it just me or does the love and power in her voice transform this song into an angelic deliverance?! Every time without fail, tears well up, laughter bubbles out of me unbidden, I start to quiver. And when Lacey raises her angelic trumpet and cries out to the world that "heaven meets earth like a passionate kiss" I feel like I'm ascending into heaven (NOT exaggerating!). God, I love this song, and thank you Lacey for singing it to us all with the Holy Ghost on your tongue!

They sang this song during mass earlier today. I cried. Beautiful lyrics. David Crowder also did a beautiful cover of this song. Flyleaf has truly brought me closer to the Lord. I used to never go to mass, now its apart of my weekly routine. I pray constantly and things in my life have changed drastically in very positive ways. God bless everyone and the listeners of Flyleaf. They make amazing music and they have so much power in their words.

I'd give anything to meet Lacey. That would be so so amazing. She's one of my big role models. I love every single one of her songs and she has such an angelic voice. She's amazing. I cried when I heard this song, it's so powerful and lovely. It lets you feel and hear how much God loves you. This is one of my favorite songs. I listen to it almost every day.

I do love Flyleaf more than I ever thought. I remember thinking how this was a band I'd heard of and I wanted so bad to like them but when I listened to a few of their songs at first, I hated them. Then, a couple months later, I heard Again, and I fell in love. I've been a truly dedicated fan since that day in April, and now, 8 months later, I know almost all of their songs, have been to their concert and am the proud owner of 2 shirts.

I tried to write a message about this song and I have no idea where it went I just wanted to say that this song and many other that Lacey sings for such a heartwarming group of songs my name is Mark a recovering heroin addict from Detroit and there was many many nights where I set up detoxing in the beginning when I started my journey out of the hell of addiction I would put on one of her songs and I hope she knows they were such a big big help I asked the Lord into my heart I'm learning how to be a much better person it's such an amazing feeling I wasn't sure what it was like you know you are truly loved no matter what and that he loves me just as much as everyone it's such an awful feeling to feel alone to be called a junkie a loser to not be trusted to get blamed for all that's wrong I understand I created all that garbage and I know it took a very long time to get this far so I know it won't be fixed overnight and it's up to me to prove to everyone then I'm trying to change my life because I've said it before and I passed and messed up but this time it's different I can feel the love of the Lord in my heart and I know through him all is possible thank you Lacey for all you do your friend in recovery Mark from Detroit

I dont care if this song is done with an acoustic guitar, electric guitar, played in my room, in the car, on the laptop or during a worship at church or outside at a concert, this is one of the songs that will forever move me as its played. Thats how beautiful this song and our God is. You know this song is eternal when you can hear it from multiple artist that go back further then flyleaf and still be moved EVERY single time.

I went to a summer church camp that my youth group go's to every yaer. well, while there, me and a few of my friends were messing around, and our councelor came by and said something awesome was going on in the fellowship building. we went to check it out,and found people crying everywhere, on the floor, heads in hands. I thought nothing of it until I randomly started tearing up, then this song came on and I broke down. I was saved that night, and Thank God I decided to check it out. God Bless!

This songs, most of their songs, its not just religion.. Its more.. its like being uplifted through music.. Its about saving us, knowing, being.. Flyleaf is without a doubt a band that I will forever listen to.. No matter how happy, angry or sad I feel.. When I listen to them, I feel just good. Its as if, unlike so many songs and bands, the words go past the song and reach me.

We all have different beliefs but that doesn't change the people who we are, and when it comes down to this song it makes us realize everything and everyone is just simply beautiful.

I thought about other family members that died before I could even know them. Suddenly I was filled with grief and started crying. I cried and cried... so hard that my throat began to hurt. Finally, I calmed down. Even more surprising, I was suddenly filled with a desire to ask something of God. I asked him, with a tearful and grief filled voice, "God, please, please... let me see them.. I don't care if you don't ever do anything else for me again.... but.. Please....." and I cried some more.

God never went away from you, you chose to "see" that way so you'd wouldn't feel like it was your fault. God is ALWAYS with us, no matter is we push him away,ignore him,deny him,is we stop talking to him...so, the choices you were making pulled you away from God..but with that said, I am glad you are back :)
