In this product review of the Baker Bib by FlyLow, I go through the features, material, comfort and sizing. The FlyLow Baker Bib is a pretty epic bib but it might be tricky for people to get the sizing right. In this video I talk about not only what I like and don't like about the Baker Bib but also how to ensure you get the right size for you.
You can buy the FlyLow Baker Bib here: amzn.to/2QOqqcn
FlyLow also makes a decent ski pant: amzn.to/3taGrGM

What a fantastic review! I have been researching what bibs I want this season and this video is by far the best outerwear review video I have seen. Sub'd for more reviews like this!

Amazing review! Thanks for going in-depth on the type of use that you have put these through. Most time people either talk about either just using them on the resort and not for other conditions. I am going to go try a pair on before I pull the trigger, but I am sold. Keep up the great content.

I own two baker bibs. I got one in rye to be my backcountry/casual resort pants. I loved them so much i got a second pair in black to replace my ski patrol pants. I could not be more stoked on this product. They are big though, I am 5,11 and 140 lb. i almost always wear medium but with this bib i got the small and they are still baggy (i like baggy so that’s good). Great review btw.

Thank you. This ski season i am sort of wishing I got the short version as the shoulder straps are done all the way up but the legs still drag when I walk. Minor thing as the overall pants are awesome. I am liking them more and more as I use the pants.

Thank you for the detailed review, exactly what I was looking for. Currently trying to decide between these and the Black Diamond Recon Bib.

Watching your review convinced me to go ahead with buying. I got them in small although i typically wear medium, but like you i have a short inseam (about 30 inch). 5'8, 5'9 on a good day :p, 155-160 lbs and it fits me perfectly. Only thing is i dont have much more room in the chest once i throw my mid layer on so if your any bigger than 160lbs I would get the medium or medium short. I got the taro color and its a bit darker than the site shows (almost like a dark brownish green color) which i like even better than the site shows. I'm so stoked on them. They just arrived today gonna ski them this weekend! Thanks for the review!

Did you get a small short or regular inseam?

Just curious what your pant base layer is below the bib?

Stange way of putting on a bib when there is a clip on the strap. One nice feature is the tall back panel, so when you are reaching for the loose strap it is never twisted up. Only downside I have experienced is the material on the inside of the front bib doesn't breath. When I'm working hard (skinning) my chest and belly get soaked with sweat

Looking at these bibs now. You got me wondering if I should opt for the short version? I am 5’8”, 175lbs, 31 inch inseam.. the medium seems like the right size but concerned about them being too long on regular size?

So I’m 175 lbs also 5’10” and 33-34 waist. The website puts me between sizes kinda. You’d suggest a medium probably?

If the front doesn’t have a zipper system, how do you take a piss in them?? Seems like an important detail

I normally just wear a thin layer of synthetic or wool underwear. My preference is the Icebreaker brand of wool and their thinnest 3/4 bottom. Works well for not bunching up at the boot top. The bib can get warm so I've never felt cold around my legs. Its always my neck or hands that get cold first. Even on the coldest steel chair lifts, my but and legs are still pretty warm. These bibs do a great job.

would you recommend for -30°c snowboarding? i never see bibs with insulation..
@robertesell

-30? Thats sooo cold. I always recommend layers. Wool layers in this case. Ice Breaker is a good brand for that.

So you have to take off your whole kit to take a piss? How’s the waterproofing? I hear that’s where flylow struggles.
@robertesell
@robertesell Год назад
Nope. It has a fly. Works great for those emergency #1. No #2 action for me however so can't speak to that. Waterproofing seems fine. I dont lay in the snow much but these seem better than most and also pretty warm on the chair. I can't complain at all. Really like them.

medium short, copy that.
@robertesell
@robertesell 2 года назад
I recommend to try both on. Some people like a longer baggy leg. I find at 5'9" the regular medium is a bit long in the leg. Try the short and see if it fits you better if you are my height. The risk is it will cut into your groin if its too short which would be bad. I'm using these this season and I have to say I love this bib. Putting it on even makes me happy.
